Crawford - It's amazing this team won a cup with Niemi and Crawford as goalies. Not much difference in either other than Crawford makes 3x his salary. There was no reason for him to go down on Calahan's goal (same as when he gave up the first goal vs Smith in the NASH series) ...and to be grossly out of position on the third. Blame the D? The D that has been playing four guys and completely laying it on the line, taking hit after hit. And this guy lets in the shittiest goals at the most inopportune times. I'm confident they would get the same type of tending out of Darling for a fraction of the cost, with the same chance to win the Cup as they did with Niemi and Crawford

Crawford was the only player giving a **** for significant portions of the regular season. He bailed this team out time and time again when the defense was in the middle of a season-long chinese fire drill in the regular season. But, yeah, a couple of bad games in the playoffs when the team isn't scoring any fucking goals means he needs to be traded. Sure.

And what the **** is wrong with Hammer's brain? A bunch of times he got the puck on his forehand in the corner, with little pressure and instead of going through the middle he turned around and threw it down the boards off his backhand. A couple of times he even turned around and stopped, waiting for somebody to check him. That's kind of how the second goal started

Kane led the league in scoring while healthy - didn't give a ****?
Captain serious doesn't give a ****?
How many shot blocks from Hjarll during the season? Keith, Seabrook, Oduya play how many minutes while banged up and don't give a ****?

A couple of bad playoff games? He's given up 4+ goals in 5 games this year (was also pulled after giving up 3 in the first period of the playoffs)....so there's 6 shit bag games this year out of the 17. Last year in the LA series gave up 4+ in 5 of the 7 games

I wish Crawford would give a shit in the playoffs when it matters most than the Tom Thibedeau way of the regular season matters most

That first goal reminded me of the Kings series from last year

And because Crawford's the goalie he was never hurt, huh? How come all the D-men get excuses for being banged up and blocking shots when the goalie was the guy getting pelted with 30 or 40 shots a nightt? They may not have even made the fucking playoffs if it weren't for his play, and he's also bailed them out of a few shit performances in this postseason. This series would be 3-0 if Crow hadn't kept the Hawks in the first period of Game 1.

This irrational disdain for Crawford among Chicago fans is fucking baffling.

Nope. He always fucking sucks in the postseason. That's why so many of his teammates said he should've won the Conn Smythe in 2013. The award given to the player who gives the least shits.

Just a terrible goal. The first goal he gave up vs NASH was the exact same (snap shot, though) from the left handed side.

Why would you be in your crease, go down in a butterfly when the guy has no not to shoot at if you just stand there? He gives up more net then he protects when anyone comes down on an angle.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I don't blame Crawford as much as I blame everyone else for not getting the puck out of the zone or for derping around on the power play by trying and failing to do the same thing about 5 times in a row. That said, 2-1 is the closest a series can be after 3 games so I'm not calling for anyone's head yet.

You mean when he took two weeks off because he got too drunk at a concert? Is that giving a shit during the regular season? And when he came back, was awful?

Fine...he "won" game 1 when they played bad. But he sucked game 2 and 3 when the Hawks played well. Should be 2-1 CHI with avg goaltending

The people that assume he's a top 10 goalie in the league is baffling. While he's an avg goalie, he's not a 6mil dollar one. Way over rated.

Put him on any other team and see how great he plays in front of "better" D than the Hawks.

It wasn't the same goal, Wilson was from the dot, Callahan was from the edge of the circle. This one was really bad

Remember when people were saying he should be on Team Canada for the Olympics???

I've never been a huge Crow fan. I'll admit he's stolen some games, but he's dropped turds as well. I don't think he's more than average in the league and when you pay 6 million for a goaltender, you expect a bit more.

We could debate this all day. Fact of the matter is, are his numbers due to him or based on the team in front of him. Same reason I don't think Brodeur is the best ever compared to Hasek.

You're basically asking why our 7th or 8th best defensemen didn't bail out Sharp and Crow. It would have been great if he did, but there's a reason he's a not a top six guy when everyone is healthy.

But that's sorta the whole basis for playoff success: you get contributions from players who you may not have expected. And those contributions can be as simple as your usual 7th or 8th defenseman making a good defensive play that bails out a struggling winger and a goalie who put himself in a pretty miserable position.

I don't disagree, but when many of your top players, especially your soon to be "1/4 of the cap" superstars haven't done shit in 3 games you cant just depend on that 7th/8th dman. You also have the 6th highest paid goaltender in net who was struggling last night and I'm game 2.

I really think Teuvo should be given more ice time, I would seriously put him with Richards and Kane and match them up against Tampas 2-3rd pairing and Tampas weaker defensive forward line. Need to jump start this offense some how.
