People failed to notice the great pick he made when Alvarez smoked a ball up the middle. He was positioned perfect, but that ball was scorched and he had to make a tough short hop pick. Castro's mistakes are dumb mistakes. Those can be fixed. He more then enough range and a very strong arm. The mental part has been Castro's problem at short. Age and wisdom can fix that.

Changing the subject from fielding to hitting because JosMin made a good point? LOL.

The subject was not changed. Nice try.

The subject was 24 year old players improving. Castro did not improve. The end.

I bet you thought Castro was a top 5 shortstop after his first two seasons.

I thought he was close.

But you know why? Because he was playing close to being a top 5 SS in all of baseball.

You know why I think he is turning into a below average SS?

Because he was one of the worst 5 SS in all of baseball last year.

You are what the stats on your card say you are.

Then why haven't they been fixed?

If it is so easy to fix, why does he keep doing it?

Why does he keep forgetting how many outs there are or loafs on the field?

Why can't Castro get back to being close to the top 5?

Also, do you even know when Castro started playing short? Do you even remember how horrible his footwork was when he came up? Castro made it to the majors with his bat and his defense was always going to be a work in progress. He has shown progress, but you fail to recognize it because he doesnt play for the Royals.

And the work still has a lot more progress to go.

I fail to recognize it because he continues to lead the majors in errors for his position.

Maybe just once it would be nice if he didn't.

Sorry, guess that is asking too much though.

Cause errors is the only measurement of defense?

You all would be so much better off if you ignored his trolling. He'd eventually go away.

Error number two! Lucky to get out of that inning without giving up a run.

And Adrian Beltre, one of the greatest defensive third basemen over the last 50 years, has three errors in six games. Texas should just cut the dead weight while they're ahead.
