history vs sample size.

Castro's history isn't nearly as expansive as Beltre's, but he did perform significantly better defensively over the 2nd half of the season last year.

Funny how nothing good is ever said when he or others play well but they sure jump on them as soon as they don't. .

Not defending him because he is no wiz but he has made some decent playes so far this year.

I would rather see his UZR and how it compairs to others.

Sadly a ground ball that some can not reach is a hit. If he boots the same hit it is an error. The result is the same. Man on first

I know his range factor came way up the second half last year and the year before he was well above average.

Today error was due to him looking up to see if he should take it on his own or flip before he had ball ..

And Adrian Beltre, one of the greatest defensive third basemen over the last 50 years, has three errors in six games. Texas should just cut the dead weight while they're ahead.

I guess that is my fault.

I clearly misread the topic of the thread.

I mistakenly thought this thread was about Starlin Castro. Thanks for correcting me that it is really about Adrian Beltre.

Seeing as the last time Castro played well was 2012.......

Guess I should jump into my hot tub time machine?

My fault again.

I thought that you were also the one constantly whining and crying about people changing the topic of the thread.

Spending multiple pages having a pissing contest about a player the Cubs rightfully didn't pursue after his agent let it be known he wanted to play for a contending team = derailing a thread

Mentioning that even great players have less-than-desired starts = a friendly reminder that shit happens

First off, Starlin Castro isn't a great player.

Secondly when I countered an ignorant point how a 24 year old player was surely bound to improve by pointing out the horribly offensive season he had last year led to more whining and crying on your part.

Par for the course.

Doubt it. Unless Olt tears it up at 3B and Baez can't handle 2B

Depends on the return.

Say that Baez gets it going this year and improves his D at SS in Iowa. Alcantara also progresses this year.

NYY call wanting both Castro and Barney. Play off push and MI next year. Offer Manny Banuelos
And Gary Sanchez. You have to pull that trade 100% of the time.

That is the way I look at it. There is no sacred cow on a 90 loss team.

I believe his error count is up to 6 now in 38 games.

He is on pace for approximately 24 for the year.

It seems as if every time you post, its just to inform us of something negative about the team...
Or just open up a thread to give all who cares your daily dose of BAD NEWS

It was the title of the thread. Starlin Castro's error tracker (2014 edition)

I believe I am keeping up with it.

Wait, it is 2014 isn't it? ;)

Castro has errors but his defensive peripherals have been so much better this year. His range factor is way above average. Don't get me wrong. Castro is an average defender but he has made some real good strides
