Options trading seems so risky and confusing. I definitely have a lot to learn before trying options.
Its certainly got risks to it different from ordinary stock trading.
For starters an options position could expire worthless, whereas traditional stock only "expires" if the company goes bankrupt.
But an option position can return 10-30x what the same movement in share price would return.
Also an option position can make money when a share price goes up (CALL) or down (PUT) whereas shares alone only gain when they gain.
Stock market is like Sports betting in many ways.
Buying stock shares is kinda like betting the moneyline or over/under.
Buying options is kinda like betting on a moneyline and over/under parlay for a game half.
In one case your team wins and you win, straight up.
In the other case you win only if your team wins and by the right amount and in the time period described.
Do some reading on the subject and pick one stock to follow for a while, then trade options based on your continuing understanding of the stock in question.
Kinda like if the fucking roulette wheel trended 25 around Christmas and the like.
