Is this good or bad though? Are we just pushing the inevitable down the line?

oh, it’s absolutely kicking the can down the road. but, what was the alternative? Let the economy fall apart worse than the Great Depression? That sure as shit wouldn’t go over well

Stocks do always go up OVER TIME. The 1927 to present DOW chart proves that: Depression, WW2, 87 crash, dotcom bust, 08 collapse

Not stock market-related per se, but if you haven't taken a hard look at refinancing your mortgage right now, you really should. I just closed on a 2.75 with no points last week. Saving me nearly $400 a month!

I've been in the process for 3 months.... finally getting to closing now.

I am cashing out some equity and dropping my rate from 4.375 to 3.25

FTR there are no good places to get a mortgage... they all seem to work off an antiquated underwriting system where they ask you idiotic questions.

Some of them just use more technology than others.

Was the wait due to the backlog?

Was the wait due to the backlog?

In part, yes.

I started a mortgage application in March with my bank and they fucked it up and pissed me off.

At one point they told me "It took us too long to process your application, so it was rejected."

So I ended that process and started fresh with SoFi, which worked better and moved faster until I was assigned someone whom doesn't seem to do their job.

It was weird, days would go by and I would reach out asking for updates or asking if there were items I could put together, and I would receive zero response.

At one point neither of the two people assigned to my loan replied to any of my e-mails for over a week, so I e-mailed their general loan help mailbox and 24 hours later I suddenly had a task pop up to pay for my appraisal so it could be scheduled.

The communication I received then came off like they were blaming me for not paying for or scheduling my appraisal, when they needed to advance the process so I could do so.

Last week I e-mailed their CEO mailbox... I had to be a fucking Karen for a minute, and I got actual escalation... the boss of one of the two assigned to my loan gave me a call.

Since then it has been moving along steadily... today they asked for more idiot underwriting bullshit... a letter to explain why my residence is so far from the company HQ in Tennessee.

At one point they asked me to write them a signed letter explaining hard inquiry on my credit from that original mortgage application.

At another point I was asked "Explain phone ending in ####"... had to write them a letter saying "That's my cell phone."

At another point I was asked for a letter "Explain <insert residence address>"... had to write a letter saying "That's literally the house I am refinancing."

Tomorrow I expect an e-mail asking me to explain "The Sun."

I have a credit score over 800 and I make enough money I could probably afford two mortgages, but underwriters need to understand "WHY U NOT LIVE WHERE UR JOB PLACE IS?!?!

This is the mortgage on my 5th vacation home.

Everyone knows all CCS members are millionaires with wives who are 10s and expensive cars.

clearly you’re just a millionaire then...having to mortgage your 5th vacay home. A billionaire wouldn’t need to do such a cuck move. Then again, you could just have a jay lenoesque collection of cars. And sometimes it’s just difficult to get liquid enough when you’re so heavily invested in your numerous farms around the world

Of course, but I'm wondering if we're creating a bubble. This money can't stay in the market forever.

there’s still a lot of dry powder on the sidelines. A lot of institutional investors missed out on the big swing back up from the lows. Rare moment when retail investors did better than the institutional ones...but the institutional $$ is far greater than the retail, if that $$ we’re to be put back in the market...watch out

It's really hairy for day traders lately. I'm a nobody but many big dogs are on the sidelines. Easy time to make mistakes. Thursday I made 343.00 bucks. Friday I made 8.49!
I tried to day trade Draft Kings with 4000.00. My thoughts were that it would rise from 40 to 42 per share. Futures were up 350.00 points at 7am so i figured good green day. Nope!

Forgot to mention American Airlines. Could be a very juicy swing trade these days.
