I've gotta get out of the sports forums on this board and into more excellent threads like this one.

Found myself drinking a lot of Revolution beers lately. Most recent one is A Little Crazy, which is outstanding.

For those of you who talked about 3 Floyds: while I certainly will not dismiss the quality of beer they make, I must say that several other breweries have popped up around the area that are also making excellent beers. A couple quick suggestions: 18th Street, New Oberpfalz, Wildrose, St. John Malt Brothers, and Crown. I don't know how well those beers are distributed in Illinois, but I can find just about any of them in the liquor stores around NW Indiana. If you're into that kind of thing, I'd recommend checking them out.

The GDDC and BHA are both great beers with different hop profiles BHA has citra along with Vienna malt. Galaxy hops are used in GDDC.

It's good, but I wouldn't say it's the best.

What's better? Revolution is okay, laguintas beers are too earthy.

I prefer Revolution and Pipework over Haymarket. Lagunitas also isn't truly Chicago.

But this is just my personal preference.

Pipeworks is one i haven't tried out, or any of their beer. Hear great things though.

What's a better beer arcade, Headquarters or Emporium?

Dadbro Basement Dweller is going to drive a date to Haymarket from Plainfield, when he has Sovereign, Two Brothers, Hopvine, Alter, and Solemn Oath much closer.

Stay off that beaten path Derpbro.

I live in Elwood, but thanks.

And she lives off Lakeshore, so why in gods name would I bring someone out to the *gasp!*, suburbs?

I love Solemn Oath by the way, have you tried Hailstorm yet?

My mistake. You should stay off that beaten path on the beer though, as nobody has ever heard of Haymarket, and it probably won't be crowded on a Friday.

Yeah, I hear great things though. Foods supposed to be great too. I'll let you know what I think about the beer.

Another local spot I'm sure you've checked out, but Tribes actually brews pretty decent beer.

I can safely tell you it is crowded on a Friday and Saturday.
