O sorry i forgot how GOOD Kyle Seager is..

.260/.338/20 hrs OPS+ 118 with a 3.9 WAR is quite a nice player.

justin smoak has: .238/.334 20 hrs OPS+ 113 WAR 1.1

they also have corey hart who can also drive the ball if he is healthy.

if they got tanaka they would be very balanced, be competitive. but hey...you know everything lil theo.

Last I checked, he was better than Starlin, Val/Murphy, Castillo, Scheirholtz, Lake, Barney, Bugosevich, and 1 home run and 10 RBIs less than Rizzo, though superior OBP, OPS, and average. And he makes less than Boy Blunder's golden boy.

Kyle Seager would instantly make this offense better.

Of course, had Theo drafted him you'd be feverishly beating your meat like a pedophile in an elementary school parking lot.

Hate to say it, but I have to wonder why Tanaka would go anywhere but LA. He'd play on the Dodgers and immediately be a favorite to win the World Series. LA has a huge Japanese community. The weather is a thousand times better than Chicago. And his wife would have all the resources at her disposal to expand her music career.

I'd love to see him here but I just don't see it happening. Another 95-loss season will get us a top-5 pick again though. At least we'll have two more drafts to stock our pitching before Baez, Bryant, Soler, and Almora come up.

On the flip side, there is no more guarantee that he gets a ring in the near-term with the Yankees as there is for the long-term with the Cubs. Though of course, many view the terms Yankees and winning as synonymous.

Yep. Several franchise's are better positioned to win a ring going forward than the Yankees. The Cubs, unfortunately, are not one of them. If he comes to Chicago, it'll be for the money. Let's hope we land him and maybe, just maybe, 2015 might be a promising year.

Hey dipshit, someone was saying if the Mariners got Tanaka and then traded for Price and I was simply saying that would not happen. But no, they won't be competitive this year if they got Tanaka.
