Tanaka Watch Thread (Cubs Edition)

Dude.... Kershaw is worth every penny the Dodgers are paying him. Guy's the best pitcher in baseball by a fairly substantial margin. He'll be in his prime for the duration of that contract and he probably hasn't even reached his ceiling yet. We're watching the evolution of an all-time great when it comes to Kershaw. He's one guy I always check the box scores on regardless of who he's playing. I think any of us would be floored if he was in a Cubs uni.

Never said I wouldn't want him but $30MM is a lot of one player, especially a guy that will play every 5 days for ya.

i would be disappointed the Cubs didn't get him but mariners still don't have anyone who can hit besides Cano

The Dodgers get him. It would also be extremely scary. Kershaw, Grienke, Tanaka, Ryu, and take your pick of Chad Billingsley, Josh Becket, or Dan Haren. lol

my guess.. dodgers, Yankees, cubs, Angels and DBacks..
all offers are believed to range from 6+ yrs and 100 + Mil.

I think sox talked but didnt make legit offer

30 MIL to pitch 30 + Games in 6 MOS... almost 10 MIL a Game, to play baseball.. what a beautiful country
