true but this seems like a slam dunk.

Ofcourse it does. It will be so glorious when we shove it up there ass. We need tanaka badly. Sox know this. Add tanaka to this rotation and it's good 1-3. Iffy 4-5. Bullpen is spotty. Who knows how are defense and lineup will be. But damn this fan base needs this.

I'm slowly starting to think Yankees will get him. But LAD is rumoured to give Kershaw £128,292,066.05 ($210M - seven year contract).
Boston NEVER meet with Tanaka.

I still think the Yankees wont bite because of the luxury tax. But, you never know. I still think Sox and M's are in the hunt.

So the Dodgers are going to sign Kershaw and Tanaka? I don't think so. That would effectively require them to spend around 300 million on two players over the next 7 years. Too much money to tie up in two pitchers. I think this knocks them out of the Tanaka sweepstakes.

The Dodgers still remain interested in adding another starting pitcher in the wake of the Clayton Kershaw signing, according to sources of FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal and Jon Morosi.
Masahiro Tanaka is the team's primary target, but it's still unclear whether ownership will want to pay the expected nine-figure contract Tanaka will command. The more likely alternative could be Bronson Arroyo, who the team has on its "shortlist" to pursue. The 36-year-old's durability is one of the things that appeals to the Dodgers, and the fact that he doesn't cost a draft pick makes him appealing as well. The main difference between the two sides right now seems to be money -- Arroyo is seeking a three-year deal, while the Dodgers would prefer to keep any contract at two years.

I just have a hard time believing they land Tanaka. NYY, SEA, CWS are my guesses

The dominoes are falling in our favour.

Boston NEVER talked with him either.

@DanHayesCSN: Too many obstacles for #WhiteSox/Tanaka. Has to want to be there. The $$$. And, would Sox gamble on him & Abreu at same time? Dont' see it.

@DanHayesCSN: @dthomashof I'd say there's a maximum of 5 percent it happens. Maximum.

How in the know is Hayes? Tells me there's at best 5 percent. I don't buy it
