I also think there is something totally different going on with what the sox want to do. this is way too public for KW and company and the sox being the only team making sure they tell the public they talked to him is so not like the sox. im thinking misdirection. also...how bad is it going to be at soxfest when by than tanaka will be a cub? not good.

Who made these odds? People who are just seeing the same smoke signals we are.

Remember: Tanaka wants to go where he feels the most comfortable, being under the microscope in Seattle, New York, or with the Cubs sounds like a lot of pressure. Who knows, maybe he likes that, but something to consider. Secondly, Hahn said that they would keep the negations quiet from their end out of respect for Tanaka. Japanese culture is centred around honour, and respect.

Again, other than last night, I think the fact that the Sox are not being mentioned is HUGE. Especially give the stealth bombers we have in our front office.
