Hossa is sent head first into the boards during the 3rd and NO call? Are you kidding me? One of the most dangerous plays in hockey IMO. He could have broken his neck.
I couldn't believe the officials tonight. They let St Losers dictate how they were going to play a mucked up piece of crap game. Toews been just raped on the blue line was down right awful.

Hossa and Kopecky were just being bent over in the crease and along the boards.

Scott, Bickell, and Brouwer were no where to be found to make these shitheads pay.

I understand that the Hawks were down and couldn't take unnecessary penalties. But ,damn! The kids aren't going to last a whole year with stuff like this.

Hossa being slowed by a knee to knee

Jackman has his stick under Toews armpit

Then he throws him head first into the ice after Hossa's goal.

Well, that first goal he let in was pretty soft. Other than that he played stellar.
And there will be more to be sure. The style that Turco plays, there will be a lot that look real soft. But to me? If the goalie's goal that could have been stopped is soft and it is only 1? I will take that everyday.

What was most impressive to me is the very next shift he made a GREAT breakaway save. A sign of great confidence and maturity. I think he will have the ability to give the team confidence, even if he does let in a few softies.

With Turco, you wont see a lot of No-nos that is for sure.

Hey, they were just "Letting them play"..... LOL

Nice evidence. Kopy being punched in the face was pretty brutal too. Clean knocked his helmet off. No call? Really?

And hossa, after all the Suspension talk for DANGEROUS hits? Really?

Yea but he saved the game in OT. I believe he made 6-7 saves.

Yea but let's give Perron some credit. It was a great play and great shot. Turco "thought" he was going across the net to the back door, and he didn't he snuck the shot in. Soft? Not so sure about that from where I was sitting. Was a great play by Perron.

Nevermind Seabrook distracting him by making snow angels on the ice...

Btw, John Scott did NOTHING to intimidate St. Louis from their normal bullshit. They were dirty all night long, as evidenced by the pictures above. Nevermind the hit from behind that Bolland took too.

Oh, and when Kopecky was taking gloves to the face, he should have gotten slashing penalties on that very same play. He was hacking away at Halak with the puck at center ice. Good no calls there.

Seriously??? A softie??? Give Perron some credit there. He got Turco to bite on the "wrap around" move, and only reason it went in was it deflected off of Turco's trail leg. That wasn't a softie. Besides that Marty saved the game in overtime, talk about standing on his freaking head. He was barraged for the first 2-3 shifts of OT.

Crap, sorry RK, just saw your follow on post...broke cardinal rule, read thread all the way through before flaming.

I'm not complaining about Turco's play. In the same sentence I said he played stellar. Jesus guys, relax.

Yea and the ref watched the whole Kopecky thing happen. But I guess he "deserved it" after jamming at the puck.

I will agree with Brouwer not being around, tvl.

But Bickell? He fought Backes

Scott tried to fight anyone during the three minutes he played and had a couple of hard hits as well. He tried to fight Winchester off of a faceoff, but as expected, chickened out and became invisible for the rest of the game and didn't do much if any (that I noticed) cheap shit because he knew what would happen if he did.

Not as much as Bolland. We do though don't we?

Theres always the trade deadline to get Ladd back!! I would CREAM my pants.

Fixed it for ya...

As far as all the Cullimore bashing...I think people need to realize....he's always just been a 4-5 at his very best in his career - and was brought here to be a top pairing with Aucoin. And the coaching and talent on the team then was BRUTAL. They did not play a system, the league changed dramatically..and he was out of place then. He was then decent on a bad FLA team. He's going to have some bad plays/nites....but if they can keep him at a number 6, play about 9-10min a game....he's not that bad. It's all whatever you expect from him. But he's played in what - 3 games now....was a plus in 2 of them, minus in the other.

For a 500K cap hit....having a guy thats won a cup, good lockerroom guy...its not a bad thing.

Winchester played seven minutes. Kind of hard to be a factor. Just saying.

You should watch the replay... Kopecky took THREE hacks at Halak's pads, with the puck OUTSIDE THEIR ZONE. Jamming at the puck? rofl... I thought that was the ONE call the refs got right all night long. Best case, it would have been a 4 on 4. Kopecky on the slashing, and the Blows player on the roughing.

Agree with this...although maybe give the Blows player a double minor. Kopecky slashed the shit out of Halak on the tying goal too.

Hossa is not human....he can't be reasoned with.......he feels no pain.....

Anyways, kudos to those that stuck around after the game for the 3 stars.

I got so loud that Hossa had to wait before answering one of the questions.

You could tell he really loved that his hard work is appreciated.

It was also very cool how after mentioned he got 'lucky' on their first two goals. He had a funny smirk on his face as if to say "yeah...right".

I'll have to check out a replay if I can find one. I was half ass watching the game last night and streaming other stuff.

As for Winchester it only takes one stupid move to take someone out.

Oh well the Hawks beat those hacks and are now 1st in the conference and Hossa is 1st in the league in goals. Today is a good day!

Take out the Sucks tomorrow and I will be even happier. May as well scratch Scott and bring back Stalberg... if no one on the Blues was man enough to fight Scott, no one on the Canucks will either.

Yep, the refs let both sides play.

Kopecky getting mugged by Brewer in front of the officials was quite comical-- but then you have to ask the question of the worth of Scott at that moment. I guess he can look real mean 4' from the ice.

Q cannot ice him because the game is on the line--obviously.

I have nothing bad to say about Cullimore today.

3-0-0 with him in the lineup.

Your right, Bickell did. And that was great. Setting a tone. But then the refs decide to let the Blues do what ever they want outside of the rules.

Who the heck was all over toews on the blueline and wouldn't let him up.

Also, when Toews finally got off the ice in front of the net, and Cullimore came in, the blues disappeared. What is it, if they don't have a size advantage of any sort, they cower away?

Pussies!

It's absolutely not worth it anymore. It's quite apparent that every team we play acts hard until Scott is on the ice and then they chicken out like little girls when he tries to fight them. If Scott is going to fight anyone he is going to have to attack them and MAKE them fight which is going to do nothing but give a long power play to the other team (possibly even a major only to him and a game misconduct which in that case, someone else would have to serve the long penalty).

Oh well, just a bunch of pussy hacks left in this league that won't man up.

Go to about 1:15 and you can see what TVL is talking about Toews getting slammed into the ice face first.

Oh my lord Hossa's 2nd goal is just amazing.
