Just wanted to say that I have hated Stalberg since the beginning of last year. He would fit in so well on a shitty team though.
It's funny, when they brought him in I had huge hope for him, I bought in the tony salmelienaniianinadinaind type speed jargon and really gave him a lot of opportunities. He started out slow, had a couple of great games, then went back downhill, and I haven't getting back on the train since.

He just doesn't fit, not on the 1st line, definitely not on our new 2nd line, he'd destroy our 3rd line, and he isn't a 4th line player. NEXT!!!!

Why we brought him back and didn't keep a guy like Kopecky or Brouwer by tacking on Stalbergs 750,000 to our initial offer makes me wonder how deep we could really be this year.

Edited for my own selfish reasons.

There's no reason Bickell/Bolland/Frolik can't shut down Getzalf's line. The onus then is on everyone else to start scoring and play smart D.

The win is extremely possible, if not hard fought.

there is one reason. Its one of the best lines in the nhl. I will be bold enough to say it is the best line in the nhl in my opinion. Its not going to be up to the rat pack alone to shut them down in my opinion. Its going to be another test of our coaches abilities to run proper lines and use home ice to his advantage. Something he hasnt exactly been great at.

I also think this is going to be a special teams game. As great as the hawks disciplin has been my gutt is telling me the penalties will come fast tonight for both teams. Ducks seem to be able to bring the bad shit out of us and vice versa. I suspect a hard hitting high stick battle...there will be blood.

I think it's going to be one of those games where both teams know how good the other team is and will be afriad to take chances because they know they will capitalize. I expect it to be a low scoring close tight match all night, unless one of them scores extremely early, then it will be a shootout, or some flukie goals go in like last time.

Well, I think it's a meeting of the Irresistable force vs. the Immovable object. Best FWD line vs. the Best Shutdown line. I have faith that the Rat Pack with neutralize them enough, if not render the line ineffective. Maybe I'm drinking the kool-aid.

The rest you're spot on with. In retrospect, unless someone completely craps the bed, I think the coaching staff will win or lose this one.

LOL... after Corey Perry's penalty... it took Pat and Eddie I think 30 seconds into the PP to even realize it.

What do you know... Carcillo assists in a goal without getting an assist. nice job taking the guy in front of the net out of the play so he can't cover the cross crease pass.

SICK ASS FUCKIN PASS by Kane!

1-1

EDIT: Thanks Eddie 5 minutes later for emphasizing my point.

Nice 2 points guys!!!

Weird game though. A little boring to start off again and an entertaining 3rd for sure.

Hossa you have a naaaaaaaaaasty shot my friend!!!

Nice game Craw.

Allstarberg you still suck

Brunette you are still way to slow. I am trying so hard to like you but it's so painful to watch you skate with Toews. Please Q make an adjustment there. I know we are winning and it's hard to make adjustments when you are..but think about how much better it could be. I know your hands are strapped though..I don't know how you adjust the lines to get Brunette where he belongs either. Just so awkward seeing Toews and Brunette together.

Kane and Hossa were hot shit

Q not a bad coaching job tonight!!! You did some things right!!!

Frolik you generate so many chances for yourself. You sir are a stud..you deserve soooo many goals for how hard you work and how smart you play.

Leddy you are going to be a monster in a couple years

UC you need to do something about that fucking glass....try duct tape.

Sweet game... Selanne is a monster... what shot in the SO.

Other then that... Stalberg blows...

The Carcillo line AGAIN should have resulted in multiple goals.

Crawford looked great.

This team is awesome.

Is Tim Peel the ref that RK likes?

He and I had a moment in the 3rd. Rocky was totally cracking up. Worst officiating tandem you could possibly get tonight. Both those guys suck shit. Sorry.

As for the game, Kaner carried the team even with his gaff tonight. I told him that might have been the best pass I've ever seen.. He put that fucking puck RIGHT ON Hossa's tape. Unreal!

Glad I went even though I still hate the fucking shoot out. Ducks were tougher than I thought. Man that top line is fucking good. Might be one of the best in the league hands down.

And yea, Stalberg pretty much sucks. I agree with Rex I'd give Olezs a shot at this point. He just doesn't do anything but **** up the lines by Q trying to find a spot for him where there is none. Time to change him OUT.

Duff the Ace of Cakes is in for the Hosie Odonnel Show. Sat in front of us. Really nice guy. Left before the end though. Shame.
