Backstrom got his stick down, and it is really difficult to elevate the puck on a wrap around like that.

The more I watch Stalberg play, the more I like him. Kid has crazy wheels and a really, really hard shot.

Hawks start the PP with Brouwer, Pisani, and Potulny up front, with Seabrook and Hendry on the point? Holy ****.

Brouwer proceeds to ICE the puck, ON THE FUCKING PP?

Wow, just....wow.

P.S. Sharp sure looks fucking fantastic this year. What a shot he has.

A Troy Brouwer sighting again... Welcome to the 2010-2011 season Brouwer. Keith with ANOTHER assist. Six assists in three games. And, a PP to start the third period.

Keep the momentum going.

Hopefully a switch clicked for these guys after last nights embarrassment and they figured out that team defense wins games. Like night and day from the Oilers game. Still need to start scoring more across the board. They have played below their level so far this season and can be much better and hopefully this was a sign of what is to come.

when I go to this link the screen is all colors. Why is that?

That's the default screen if no broadcast is active. Likely, they person who was broadcasting had something come up or had internet troubles. Most people streaming are in Europe and bad internet happens sometimes.... usually the guy broadcasting the Hawks games is really reliable.

Solid game by the D tonight. Very nice to see that was the Hawks D I remember. Skille owes Turco some beers but otherwsie a pretty clean game all around by the Hawks. Nice rebound from last night and playing without 3 regulars and on visitors ice? Well these are wins that build confidence.

Toews was hungry all night and probably could have had a hat trick if not for a couple centimeters here and there.

Kane looked energized and was all over the ice

These two wanted it and you could tell.

Just a good game from the boys.

Turco was there when he was needed

got some depth scoring

boys looked hungry and focused

Keith looked like Keith and Seabs looked like Seabs

Troy gets a monkey off his back

Checking line and PK were solid

Just a nice game.

1) nice to come back and play a team game and get a W after last nights embarrassing catastrophe.

2) Yo Brower. Good to see you again. Perhaps summer's finally over? maybe?

3) This was Bick's 1st game as healthy scratch? Doesn't it seem like at least 6 or 7?

4) Is it just me or is it money that when Skille crosses the blue line with the puck he will cough it up with little difficulty? Ok, maybe 1 one 10 he gets a shot off, but it will miss the target by 2 miles minimum.

5) Havlat, your agent thinks you should play more minutes? I'm thinking the opposite.

6) Hawks would have had more goals, but Barker did not play. Oh well.

I don't understand why some people are so down on Brouwer. It doesn't surprise me at all that in the first game where he's at last put back on a line with Toews and Kane for most of the game, he scores a goal and had a few other great chances as well. That should've been the first line right off the bat from the start of the season. You can't expect a player like Brouwer (nothing against him) to be as productive as he was last season when he's playing on the third or fourth line without any real playmakers like Toews and/or Kane with him. He's not going to be scoring 20 something goals with Bolland, it's just not happening, even if Bolland was playing well.

Probably looked night-and-day different because the Wild just might be the worse offensive team in the league.

Let's chalk up the win, but we still need to play better. I just can't get that excited over beating what might be a lottery pick team at the end of the year.

The big guns are still carrying this team, the lack of depth is becoming more and more apparent. I hope this is the start of a new trend for this team, but I won't hold my breath just yet.

Also, I don't mean to make this post seem too negative, I do believe this team can be good but I just haven't really seen it yet. Screw the Salary Cap... 4 points separate 1st in the conference and being out of a playoff spot... 4 points separate last in the conference and being in the playoffs.

I agree with Ton; don't make this game out to be more than it was....a win over a lousy team. Yes, we looked better, and there seemed to be a lot more energy. But I don't see this as anything more than than that...

Maybe if Q put him where he'd succeed, you wouldn't have to ask that question.

Let 40 games be played and the lower teams will start to fall further back. By that time Hossa, Campbell and even Bolland should be back.

And typically we don't play well in that building. Bad team or not. So the win was very impressive for a team just decimated at the moment. Like I said the other day we play more confident on the road than we do at home. Strange.

Lack of depth is what has me the most concerned right now.
