My question is why isn't Olezs in for Scott? Mayers can handle anything basically?

That's the head scratcher of the season. Scott only plays two shifts a game anyway, and has yet to fight. You telling me Olesz isn't as good as Scott? lmao

Well the only reason he skated 3 shifts on Saturday night was that it was his fault 100% they scored the first goal. I don't get it. But at 7-2-2 I really don't give a shit either.

Similar to the PP.

they aren't going to keep racking up the wins playing a man short every game, and not scoring on the PP. It's great now, but it still needs to be fixed.

Last two games the PP has looked fine.

And they were only a man short last night because a man got injured.

it is looking better, yes. If it continues I will refer to the PP the same way I refer to Frolik. "Doing everything right, the goals will come"

before Columbus though, the PP looked like shit.

team is far to talented to be beaten by a poor PP. Apparently at 7-2-2 this team is VERY talented and VERY DEEP.

yes, we are talented. yes, we are deep

I still don't believe they can keep up the pace with such a bad powerplay though, sooner or later we will run into a hot goalie (like game 1 in Dallas) and a pp marker or two will decide the game.

It's too early for any declarations about this team, I think.

The PP becomes huge come playoff time, so as long as they have it sorted out by then, I don't care.

Hey ding dong we ran into a hot goalie last night. Coming off a shut out. Yea, we scored 5 goals and could have been 8-9. Uh huh.

Well, I guess that's assuming the PP doesn't suck all season, and cost the Hawks points, that keeps them out of the playoffs. Then I will care!

a hot goalie who let in 2-3 soft goals? I'm not saying having a shitty PP has been a problem. I'm saying it WILL be a problem if we are 29th all season.

Soft goals? Which ones?

I don't think any of those were soft.

Closest could be Kanes 2nd goal and it was tipped by the Preds stick and changed direction.

Leddy's was a rocket. Bickells was a great shot. Stalbergs was a great shot and he completely jocked Rinne as Rinne was doing what MOST goalies do and following the player with the puck.

Varlamov? Was playing very well.

Kane, Bickell, and Stalbergs goal all don't go in if he has his arm against his body like a goalie is taught to do around the same time they tell us to keep our stick on the ice.

well the NHL Drafted goalie I was sitting next too disagrees with you on any of them being soft. Not to mention he made 10-12 just outstanding, athltetic saves.

Kane's was tipped. Remind me when you can stop that one.

Bickells was a rocket...

And again read what I said, Stalberg played against Rinne. You are taught to follow the shooter which Rinne did and Stalberg smoked him on the back side. You watch to much NHL on the fly buddy. LOL!

actually, I didn't watch NHL on the fly. I watched reruns of Arrested Development after the game. All three of those goals were on the exact location, between the arm and the body. He made a huge amount of amazing saves, which is why i was scratching my head after those goals. I'm glad a goalie better than myself disagrees with me, really makes no difference though. To me they were soft. We agree on most things when it comes to the team here...just not the PP being an issue, or if those goals were stopable. no big
