Bollig was so awful on the PK? Yeah, how many times did e get scored against when killing a penalty?

He got a penalty ON THE PK by throwing it out of play from his own zone.

Crawford is an average goalie. He won a cup and that's great. He also had one of the best defenses in front of him. He's got a bad glove and let's in too many softies. I'll give him a break on goalies he's got no chance on like Stalbergs and the one in front if the net. But let's not put him into an elite category, that's a reach.

Osgood and Fleury have won cups are they now top 10?

But where was his firing squad when it happened?

Look, Bollig is fine. If the biggest issue was him on the penalty kill, then you've got problems.

Well maybe if the fucking dumb Russian wasn't awful to start the game, the team may have had a bit more momentum/jump in their step?

Starting a game down 2-0 doesn't bode well for ANYONES confidence as I'm sure you know.

This whole game was just BAD outside of Kane.

Crawford got thrown into a buzzsaw and had a rare bad game, already down.

Whatever... can't win em all. Hopefully that was the humbling blowout the Hawks needed and will step it up and rape the *** Sharks tomorrow.

Bollig is fine as long as he's only a 4th line player (ideally the 13th forward) and nothing more than that. The issue is the thinking behind it. It's Q thinking he's a viable option for the PK. I would literally take every single other player on the team over him to play on the PK, including Kane just because of his offensive threat. Don't get me wrong, and I'm not being sarcastic when I say this, but I think it's really admirable that the Hawks are trying their damndest to make an actual hockey player out of Bollig instead of him being just some guy who goes out and fights. And to an extent it's been working. He has improved visibly over the last few years and he deserves credit for that. But saying all that, he's still, by far, the worst player on the team. In just about every aspect of the game.

I didn't even think Crow looked that bad to be honest, especially when he's overworked, and thrown into a game he wasn't supposed to play, cold, with the other team having all of the momentum.

He made a lot of really good saves out there.

Yeah, crying about Crawford when the whole team save a few sucked tonight is just silly. Crawford has been the most consistent player so far this season and he's been good. Once the Hawks return to their winning ways the Crawford haters will once again disappear. So predictable.

Absolute dogshit. I don't know if it's arrogance or what, but the Hawks tend to play like shit against teams they are supposed to be better than. No sustained pressure in their zone or anyone in front of their goalie to screen and put in the garbage. Useless PP. Bad D. Bad all around. And again made a second string goalie look like an all-star. Kane was the only one with some pep in his step.

And Khabby is now injured, which was just a matter of time, the guy is done and was a bad move by Bowman. What was he thinking, when there were better and younger goalies around. I am not counting on Raanta being anything better since he is still learning the NA game.

My wish for a blow out came true, but not the way I was thinking. Horrible effort. Shameful.

I expect a far better showing against the Sharks tomorrow. They ought to have the Hawks respect as they are a good team.

Panthers beat the Avs at Colorado 4-1 tonight. Anyone pick Florida?

Sometimes teams shit the bed against very bad teams.

What team finally beat the Hawks in regulation last season?

A bad Avs team, and they handed the Hawks their asses that night.

Were you jumping off a bridge in 2010 when the Jackets beat the Hawks 8-3 late in the season?

Khabbi is bad, and it sucks to see him close out his career like this, but the Hawks need to address that situation, because Craw needs some time to sit, rather to ponder when he's going into a game.

Look, I'm not saying Crawford is awful, I'm just saying he's not as great as everyone makes him out to be. He's an average goalie at best.
