Umm, excuse me sir but Scott-o-saurus was dressed.

He's a budding Hockey Machine.

I will agree until the next time he gives the puck up at the blue line and it ends up in th back of our net.

From the Scott signing thread when I was the only one saying it wasn't a useless signing:

God I can't wait for him to beat the living shit out of Jackman/Janssen/Burrows/Carcillo/Hartnell. If I see any of you giving any inkling of props to Scott, you're banned.

Great game to be at... Had a great time with everyone that attened. I think we had a few calls go our way...very suprised. But then again like RK mentioned they could have called a number of pen. on them. We should have put this game away in the first if not for sure in the second. Our Power play was god awfull. We were at one point saying No! No! decline the pen. As for Scott, he was showing savard how the spin-o-ramma really should look like, haha by the time he got to mid ice, the season was almost done, in all seriousness, I have started liking him since the blood bath in LA. He really is like the big brother that you don't mess with on the ice. As emphasized in many other games, we should be finishing teams off when we have the lead. I have seen it one game against Vancouver, where we just kept scoring. Although I have to say its a learning proccess since this is a young and new team that is still learing and that will change as the season goes on.

On another note, Stu's, thanks for the Kettle one passes and Rk great time taking with ya. Hope to see you all soon at another game!

I'm not gonna lie, I'm starting to like Scott in the line-up... I guess he's just grown on me. I think he really puts confidence in some of these guys.

From what I remember, referees are not allowed to interfere with the play -- at least not intentionally. And that, as nice as it was for that ref to give Raycroft his stick (maybe in peewees), is probably considered intentionally interfering.

We also got a few calls go our way tonight... Morin high-sticked a Star right over the blueline on a backcheck and the only call on the play was that it was off-sides for the Stars... pretty big break there.

Thought Skille improved as the game went on, Campbell was awesome tonight, and I didn't mind Klinkhammer, hes a really gritty forward. Might be good for some extra sandpaper to wear teams down.

Hells yeah, ya see Scott-o-saurus dangle low in his own zone and lead the rush oot!?

Nice to get the win but I'm thankful the Stars stared so flat. The clown shoes PP was painful to watch. Injuries or not they weren't even getting shots off. After seeing the replay of the stick incident I can't believe the refs didn't call it.

Richards is one helluva player, what a pass to Eriksson. Wow! He'll be a nice addition come deadline time.

There have been plenty more posts praising Scott and people realizing he isn't "useless' but I was too lazy to dig up the old thread.

it all depends on how he's used and he plays. On Defense, he's completely useless because he can't skate backwards.

If it were any other player on the roster he'd have three goals at least by now as several have been gift wraped his hands can not put in the net.

That said, fourth line winger, getting 3-5 minutes a night, I don't care. If the players like him that's enough for me. You don't need to profess your love for him though.

Meh I just knew this would happen... but all the debbie downers are too quick to jump the gun and bash the guy before he even plays.

Bullshit Stu, I was also saying give the guy a chance before eveyone shits all over him.

Paul Vincent, the Hawks skating and skills coach, said he's been working a lot with Scott and he's starting to catch on. Vincent says Scott has always just been thrown on the ice because he's the biggest guy and can fight and now that someone is actually coaching him there's already been improvement.

well some of that bashing is legit. I mean the guy can not skate backwards well and was playing defense.

I will say this, I was far from a fan of Scott at the beginning of the year... but I will admit, he seems to be catching on lately and is not really a liability out there. I hope he keeps it up.

Puckjim, I understand your frustration, but last time I checked, this was a Hawks board and we discussed hawks issues.

this can go on and on. why are you not bitching about the first goal that the Stars scored, that was being covered then was ripped from his glove and tipped in. I clearly saw him covering it. The whistle should have been blown.

He didn't have it covered, so not sure what you saw.

And since all this occured during a HAWKS game, it's a completely relevant discussion for a Hawks board.

The only frustrating thing for me is having to show my fan card every time I have a different opinion.
