Puckjim, in all fairness....WHO CARES! we won. I don't think anyone in chicago really cares if they deserved a pen. shot or not. WE WON!! I don't think if Dallas had won, their fans would say awww chicago should have got a pen. shot. I can't count the times we were screwed on calls. It feels great that we get some calls our way sometimes. Yes there we blown calls, but it also go for Dallas that should have gotten at least 7 calls on tripping/slashing/ect. OOOOO FREAKIN WELL... teams will find things to complain about no matter how the game went, its part of life. As long as we got the 2 points thats all that matters. Jesus man chill.

It's called a discussion board for a reason.

And I was discussing how Dallas got screwed out of a penalty shot.

So, they award them a penalty shot, they score and some way win the game. whats the discussion....they should have not given them a penalty shot that late in the game?

I'm not sure what any of that means, but my point is that the Hawks benefitted from poor officiating last night. Six power plays to Dallas's one, and the blown call at the end of the game that should have given Dallas a potentially game-tying penalty shot.

But discussions generally need to be two-sided, and it's even better when the counter-argument actually pertains to the initial argument.

What about the two NON calls for tripping on the Stars? What about the ref going out of his way to give Raycroft his stick? Who the **** cares. Oi fucking vey. Good for the Hawks but hey they should have gotten a penalty shot against and didn't deserve to win.

Again a NON SATISFYING WIN! Yup....

as for you talking about how to debate something. I have to laugh at that. It's like the dog chasing the fucking cat. LOL!

And let's be clear I was talking about your constant fucking whining as you do every fucking year and this one was, "it was an unsatisfying win". I quoted it. Again if it was unsatisfying why waste your money to go?

PuckJims direct quote "Stopped hitting.... embarrassing power play. Unsatisying indeed."

There is no debate, you typed it.

Now lets move on to the next possible "unsatisfying game" in San Jose, while still Two of the BEST offensive players in the league sit injured.

Remove any two Star players from ANY other team and you will get the same result as last night, EXCEPT they might not get the TWO FUCKING POINTS!

Puckjim, I understand your frustration, but last time I checked, this was a Hawks board and we discussed hawks issues.

this can go on and on. why are you not bitching about the first goal that the Stars scored, that was being covered then was ripped from his glove and tipped in. I clearly saw him covering it. The whistle should have been blown.

Nope, but nice try. I don't buy it. Again if it's unsatifying dont go or watch.

You have been called a whiner by many more than me. Must be just not agreeing with you too.

He most definitely had the puck UNDER his glove. Neil came in and shoved it out from under his glove and in the net. The Whistle could have been blown but the ref was on the other side of Crawford and didn't see he had the puck covered. I couldn't get any closer to that play if I tried.

Watching the replay a few times it looks like the fall did it. But they most definitely could have called it. Dallas was playing very undiscipline hockey all night. Without a doubt. Robidas was all over the players in the last two penalties called. Both at the end of the game basically sealing the deal for the Hawks.

They missed a high stick on I think Morin but those are missed all the time. Most of the time it is the Hawks on the side of these lop sided officiated games. Remember the Ranger game two years ago? I think we got THREE 5 on 3 PP's and still lost the game. The Rangers were called for like 8 consecutive penalties?

Watching the replay above the announcers clearly state something about the Columbus game and missed calls there to. They then SPECIFICALLY call out the official, which Crawford completely verbally abused after the game. RK verbal abuse works something like this "hey ........, You suck!" Apparently from what I heard Crawfrods worked something like this "I don't know what the **** you assholes were fucking doing out there, ect ect" all the way down the hall while the Refs were walking to the Refs locker room. And FYI Crawford would have had to RUN there from the time the buzzer went just to get to them to accost them in the Hallway.

But hey his team was screwed. No one mentions the Stars on the ice bitching at the REFs ON THE ICE the entire game. No wonder they were called so many times. They whined more than Puck Jim. WHILE THE FUCKING GAME WAS GOING ON!!!

He was going down to cover, and at the last moment it was pushed in. I've been watching it on NHL.com for the past few. That was a legit Stars goal. Craw's glove was over the puck, but the stick poked the puck just before the glove was flat on the ice. It's close, but I've been watching this like crazy.

Looks like a legit Dallas goal.

Link. Fast-forward to about 1:35 of the highlights. The reverse shot (from behind the glass ice level shows a good angle).

I agree that Dallas was undisciplined. The Hawks did not capitalize on Raycroft like they could have. Easily could have been 4-0 10 minutes into the game. 3-0 lead was fine, but Craw showed his inexperience late, as well as the youngsters. The late collapse when the net empty could have been devastating to the team. They pulled it out, and got 2 points.

The Sharks game will be very difficult to pull points out of.

I tought it was a legit goal from the begining and after the jumbotron replay told the wife Crow needed to cover it up faster.

Let's go Hawks!

I was in the corner there for that goal, I didn't think Crawford really got his glove on it yet. Bottom line is the whistle didn't sound, and the puck went in the net. Not really much you can do about that one.

Don't get me wrong I too tought it was a legit goal. The whistle never blew. But his glove was covering the puck. Timing from Neil and the Ref being on the other side.

I did not complain at all.

And knowing just how hot the Stars were coming in. AWESOME fucking win for a team missing two of its TOP FOUR players. So far without Hossa and Kane they are 2-0. I don't give a shit how they get the points.

That whole Schoenfeld episode was classic.

Last night I kept wondering whether perhaps the NHL officials don't particularly care for Crawford and the way he constantly ripped them when he was doing color commentary during his semi-retirement. I don't think the calls by the refs last night were particularly wrong but you generally don't see games that are called so one-sidedly (if that's a word). Maybe taking that analyst job wasn't the best move if Crawford thought he would come back as a coach. (I HATED the guy as an analyst, and I've always considered him a whiner as a coach.)

ROFLMAO. I didn't quite get that counter either. But then my brain doesn't appear to be fully functional today.
