not impressed at all... thanks for the two points, minny.

Thanks for the win Crawford... yes.... you won the game for us.

Sorry that this game did not break 100 PIMs for you. Perhaps Sunday will be like 482 PIMs from the Pens.

They never showed a replay and it took forever for the PA to announce who's goal it was.

It looked like Hossa scored on TV, too, but the replay showed it went off the Wild's D-man and into the net before getting to Hossa.

Crawford won this and the Hawks tried to lose it... it's just a fact. The first two periods were an absolute disgrace, especially with all the millions of PPs the Hawks were given that they didn't give a **** about. I guess it's cute to pass instead of put the puck on net on the PP.

Anyone who sees otherwise must be blind.

Lets not recognize all the critical giveaways in the first two periods and just zero in on the fact that "we won". The Hawks beat a bad team with bad play... don't know what YOU take away from that.

Either that or you are blind.

I thought the Hawks took it to them. I also think they fucked the shots on goal up at some point in the first. One minute they had four shots, the next 12. Yea. I thought Hossa got it from where I sit, but if not his traffic caused it.

Theodore made some crazy saves just as Crawford did. Hossa, might have been his best game since he came back from him first injury. Was all over the place.

Goal Tender Interference? Notice they score on the bullshit call. Calls missed all over the place, for both sides, but some of the Hawks missed calls were blatant. Toews completely cross checked right at the beginning of the game was pretty obvious.

Theodore was OUT OF HIS CREASE and Bickell was TRIPPED over him. Hossa partial break away, taken down, nothing?

I do not think Minny played any better than the Hawks Stu. Strange opinion. Hawks won against a VERY HOT team. Take two more this week. Must wins IMO.

Q has the Flu from what I heard. Same thing Hossa, Scott, Stahlberg, Kane and Dowell have had. All missing time. Kaner no where near feelign well, but kudos for him in playing.

I hope you are being sarcastic stu. That "bad team" has the 4th best road record in the Conference and before yesterday were 8-2 in their last ten.

4pt points from being 4th in the conference. LOL

If not for Crawford this might have been a very different outcome. Crawford was a beast.

Corey Crawford is #2 star of the night in the NHL according to ESPN. Can't argue there, he won us this game.

A good stat for PMX to look up but I wonder what the record is for the home team returning from a two week road trip. I'm almost positive I saw somewhere once it's horrible for the road team.

Goalies need to win games. That say the Hawks had 35 shots plus on goal themselves. Some very good ones. They didn't get the bounces on most, infact in the 2nd had three wide open nets just couldnt get the puck in.

Stu you sure don't give much credit to the guy that had 3 assists. Or the other two guys that had 11 hits combined. Or the other guy with Two Assists.

NO suprise the first 10 minutes were challenge, they just came back from over two weeks away.

The home team will lose 65% of their games after after returning from a 4+ game road trip. It is 66.6666% if the trip is 5+ games. A big **** you in purple for those that don't get sarcasm.

Wow the 3-8 seeds in the West all have 68 pts. The Hawks have some ground to make up. But that is one hell of a logjam.

I'm less worried if they can get on a role. 2 game swing is not huge to over come with 25 games left.

They haven't been able to get on a role through the season up to this point though. You are right they need to now. No better time than now and it can be done. Some good looking things came out of tonight. Nice 2nd line production..LETS KEEP BOLLAND THERE!! And Crawford is showing again how calm and collective he is. This is a pressure time for Crawford and he's been solid. Team just needs to take one game at a time put the effort in on the physical end and just stick to fundamentals and playoffs can be had.

Crawford easily gets my vote for surprise player of the year. But at the same time I have had a feeling that Crawford was being groomed properly and talented to begin with. Hawks really need to suck up to this guy. He has been a treat to watch this season. If anything has come out of this season up to this point it has been Cory's play and maturity etc etc. Big fan.

There was no better feeling than seeing PSR and genefoley in school on a gameday and simply saying "game tonight?" and then driving down there at 5:00 for a 7:30 game. Spending 15 on parking, walking to the box office to spend 8 on a ticket, sitting on the glass for warmups and then going to the 300 level and having a section just to ourselves. Didn't even have to wait for a whistle. Those were the good old days. But I'd still rather they compete for a stanley cup

True, but those were simply some of the highlights of my life.

Is it just me or does it seem like Seabrook and Keith had a lot more than 1 turn over each during this game?

I think they have gotten on a roll a few times this season. I went digging up some facts, darn those things! And here is what I found:

Some of our best ten game records to date:

  • 7-2-1
  • 7-3-0
  • 6-3-1

Our best 20 game stretch to date:

  • 13-5-2

One of our best stretches of the season (13 games):

  • 9-3-1

I'd say those are pretty good records. The problem has also been not getting a point out of some of those games. All of these stretches we have more regulation losses than OT losses, that's 2-3 extra points we could have by now.

If we can go the next 20 games 13-5-2, which would match our best this year, that would give us 28 points out of a possible 40. That would also give us 92 points with 5 games left in the season, depending on how the year goes that could put us in already, if not I doubt we would have to go anything more than 2-0-3 the rest of the year to make it in unless things drastically change.

If we put any of those two ten game stretches together, we would have anywhere between 25-29 points... if its at the lower end we would have to probably go at least 3-0-2 the last 5 games.

Right now it looks steep, 4 points out of 8th. The good news we have 3 games in hand on the Flames, who are tied for 8th with 1/3 of the league. The bad news is, its probably going to take our best stretch of the year in order to make it to the end.
