^^^Why am I the only one to recognize the greatness of this user name?

On topic, Panthers don't have much going for them at all, other than the fact that there in Florida and its still cold up here.

So for the game I say........

Lets go for 9 in a row!!

Another back to back for the boys starting today. Will be really nice to take 4 points out of the 4. Florida is probably the easier game than the Tampa one.

Note = Dallas/Calgary play again tomorrow both teams are 1 point behind us in the standings. This isn't just about clinching a playoff spot now...this is also about seeding for the playoffs (although I think this team can win a best of 7 against any team I still think home ice is very important). We need to take points in Miami.

Streak needs to go to double digits before it can snap. Come out like they did against the Laughs and take out any fighting spirit from the get go.

I have seen the hawks win 9 in a row twice. I have not seen them win 10. I am going to be selfish, hawks lose so they can start a new winning streak in Tampa.

I thought the Hawks SET the franchise record with 9 last year?

Apparently not. At least based on tv ratings.

The Panthers have averaged a .19 local TV rating, placing them last of the 22 teams studied by the Sports Business Daily. Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald took things a step farther and learned that the Panthers, who average around 3,000 viewers per game, are watched less than infomercials for the AbCoaster, and Ninja Professional Blender, Chopper and Ice Crusher. Now that’s sad.

Weird... Game #67 is against the Panthers... Frolik wears #67.

Anyone who is taking this game lightly needs to take a step back, Florida is a tough team to play this year. Sure they are 13th in the East with a 26-31-9 record, but many of those losses are one goal tight games. They lost 15 games this year due to one goal -- by far the most in the league. Take five to eight of those losses and make them wins, they would be a top team in the East. They just lack firepower, but the effort is there.

They obviously do not have the fire power yet to put them over the edge in most of these games, but they certainly hang in there. If we take them lightly they'll pull out a W.

Hope Dale can put together a good summer for them, they are inching closer. In the mean time, let's remind Dale of the Stanley Cup winner that he built!

I agree, they can't take the Panthers lightly. Their roster is loaded halfway with nhl quality players.

Because there is no star power on the panthers for one. They never have had a super big name. Luongo was just starting when he was a panther, Jokien, more on him in a second, Vokoun is an almost was. Also they don't win hockey in florida needs 1 major ingredient for any hope of success and that's winning.

Hey the panthers did have the best beer league team ever when they had Jokinen.

It was the 08-09 season, more than half the wins were on the road, and for some reason we were wearing red for most the trip. That is still my favorite season as a sports fan.

Just because Florida is under tallon doesn't mean I shouldn't take them lightly. They are at thirteeth for a reason...they suck. I don't care if talon is their or not. Some of you guys want to see Florida succeed, I don't. I like Tallon and I thank him for his job he did here in Chicago, and was a contributing part in the quest fo rthe cup, but he also screwed things up by overpaying. And for that 30+ percent of our Cup winning roster is gone. I like the guy, but hey when your the doormats of the NHL for years, and you have multiple #1 draft picks..its not that hard to get a great team in place with some hockey brains. I will support the Hawks and only the Hawks. I will not support any other team just because someone got screwed out of a job or should have gotten credit for something...its business and he cost this team millions.

Now I will wait for your bashing comments torwards IMO post.
