Has there been any words of the injury situation on the Hawks? I am sort of glad that they will get a longer off-season to recover from a grueling stretch that goes back to October 2010. I have a good feeling about this team for next year. It was a battle most of the season and they did their best until the bitter end and I have a feeling they can build on this experience and just be back on the saddle for 2011-12 and be right in the fray for the Cup.

Few know of my intensive hatred for the Child Preds, my friends, dad, TCD talked me off a ledge after a regular season loss a few years ago. With that said, I really hope they hand it to these fucking pricks. It would be one thing if they handled the post game with class, no they still run their mouths after a ROUND 1 VICTORY, NEWSFLASH YOU NEED TO WIN 4 FUCKING ROUNDS. **** HENRIK, USELESS FUCKING CAPTAIN, **** BIESKA, AND **** LUONGO. Their attitudes will get them by banged up defending champions who lost half their roster, but not any other central division foes.

Unbelievable comments from a captain. AV should be thanking the hockey gods he has a job right now. Regardless I'd fire him, best team in the league doesn't let what just just occurred, happen. Henrik, if you outplayed a team badly for five games, then you need a new system to play in..........the only reason this game went into OT is because they let us hang around for 3 FUCKING PERIODS, playing 4 men back, rarely running anyone. Champions go for the jugular, the faster they understand that the better, but come time game 7 when they let a team score SH with 2 min left....good luck rest of the 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

The only thing that would be sweeter than seeing the Canucks get knocked out by the Predators, would be the Hawks doing it last night. Oh well. Congratulations on beating a Blackhawks team that was BEAT TO SHIT, TIRED AS HELL, and playing with a 4+ mil cap penalty. Better hope you win the cup this season, because I don't see you getting past the Hawks after this.

Hawks fought like champions coming back down 3-0 to force a game 7 OT against a good hockey team in the Canucks. It wasn't the officiating it wasn't luck or fluke it was hard work and it was a will to win. Team was beat up we all know this, some guys really bad you don't need to be a sports doctor to see it. If this team with the beat up bodies and exhausted legs can do what they did in this first round just imagine what they will do next season with fresher legs. Good showing Hawks I for one am very proud of you guys.

Screw what the Canucks captain said. We know and the player and anyne who watched hockey with half a brain knows the truth.

We have the hardest working captain in pro sports and possibly one who is becoming the hardest working captain in hockey history.

A few tweeks and a good off season and this team is certain to be a contender again. I guarantee after the last 3 years no NHL team will ever want to face the Hawks in the playoffs in the future. Hawks made and sent a message yet again to the rest of the teams in the conference with what they accomplished. Nothing to be ashamed of nothing at all.

I for one couldn’t be prouder to be a hawks fan this morning. Absolutely no regrets. This team has character and showed the entire hockey world its mettle. Show class, carry yourselves with pride, lose with dignity…something the canucks will never be able to say.

Literally an inch away from losing the series and they act like we didn’t deserve to share the ice with them. Laughable. Some of these quotes I’m reading this morning are hilarious. This was their stanley cup moment. They don’t have the sack to be a winner, plain and simple. I’m not even bitter cause they are such a joke. From the top down, what a bunch of whiners. Even with their victory last night they look like the losers.

To me, nobody can even chirp us for losing. I’ll be wearing my stanley cup champs hat to the rink tonight with pride.

It’s been said before but deserves to be said again, Crawford was awesome. Epic performance. Guy is a winner. Toews, heart of a champion, a true captain. Campoli still was awesome for us this year, no use being negative about the play. Besides he owned it afterwards anyways like a big boy.

If anything maybe we can all sit back and enjoy the rest of the playoffs without being so emotionally invested. While great, it’s tiring. Lots of great hockey to be played even if our boys are out.

Go hawks!

The Hawks have a humble confidence and the Nucks have an arrogant confidence. I know which one wins championships.

That come from leadership, and the Hawks have the best young leader in the entire NHL in JT.

Not really bothered by this outcome. The Hawks played their hearts out and showed that they have what it takes to fight back against the odds, even if they fell just short, but by the smallest margin. Very proud of the boys and looking forward to next season with a more solidified team.

Go Hawks!

and Go Preds.

QFT^

Couldn't agree more.

Game of inches/seconds. Sharp lifts that shot on PP an inch higher we are rejoicing in the streets. Ref blows the whistle 1 second later and Brouwer gets that rebound in they don't even go to overtime.

Can't complain about the teams performance in these games. The Cafucks are quickly replacing Detwat/St Loser as our biggest rivals. Looking forward to kicking their ass next season.

Some of the younger players got a good taste of playoff hockey and a high-pressure game 7.

Especially for Crawford, who played his ass off.

Huge plus going into next year.

The Trib bet 24 Vancouver or whatever that paper is named, that the winner of the series could write the headline for the other paper. What did they come up with?

Champs to Chumps

Are you fucking serious? The paper is as delusional and pathetic as the team. I'm finding it harder and harder to like anything about that whole portion of their country. TCD included.... but he's still on top. yeah I said it.

There's no reason for anyone on this team to hang their head in shame. Dissapointed in the result but what a series and what a game! The 'hawks showed they are not the paper tiger or tin champions, and let's be honest here, I think the core will play even better next year.

On the cynical note, how aptly coincidental is it that we lost on a failed clearing attempt that lead to a turnover and a goal?

On the positive (not Greg Luganis positive) note, Toews in every year has had at least 1 goal that should be considered for goal of the year...Holy yeti-felching Jesus that SHG in the air while being checked, and the setup/steal before it was an awesome thing to behold, and should be one of the top goals of the year!

That team (VAN) has no idea what it's going to take to win. All the things they are saying, I truly think they don't 'believe it', yet it sounds like they are trying to convince themselves.

Listening to TEAM1040 in Vancouver, they allegedly made it harder on themselves than it had to be, they passed all the tests by winning this series, etc....It was round 1. I guarentee if they were down 3-0, they dont have the balls, the leadership, the character to come back like that. And a championship team would not let a team up off the canvas into a series.

Heard a fact...the last team that went to a 7 game series in a round 1 to win the cup was 1992 Penguins. And this VAN team, doesn't have a Lemieux, Francis, Toccet...etc. Nashville may not win this series, but they will pound the shit out of them. Trotz will outcoach AV, and Gillis can't play the crybaby card again - already played. If he thinks the Hawks got away with alot, wait until they play DET (who will beat SJ).

Very proud of this Hawks season and this experience is invaluable. Playing with the targets of Cup champs (getting every teams best effort) every night will make this team better. Crawford, Frolik, Bickell and Leddy took major strides in these playoffs. Smith and Kruger should be up for a full season next year, but the 82 game grind will be alot on them for sure - so I expect ups/downs from them.

I'd like to see everyone back (minus Pisani, Johnson, Dowell...unless they are 2 way contracts). The big thing to add would be a center somehow. Another season together this team will be hungry to get back.

About the game....who else would you want but Sharp getting that pass. A little to the left...a little higher, and VAN would be a morgue. And Campoli....ugh. I'm sure no one feels worse....but dammit. Side note - Campoli's previous agent - Mike Gillis.

The dog pile celebration last night was great, it was like they won the cup in round one. I expected a ceremony after the hand shake where they all kissed the presidents cup and had fans come in and take pictures with them.

For a team like the Hawks...to sit and watch that, will stay burned in their memory.

For VAN to celebrate that, congrats to them. Games 1-3...they were beating their chests...telling the world how great they are...all their accomplishments during the regular season.

Games 4-6....the refs screwed them, its not a level playing field..etc

Then....win game 7 in OT - and they knew they had it. Right.

You beat a team that had lost -

Kopecky - 7gms (played 4 shifts)

Bickell - 2gms

Seabrook - 2gms

Bolland - 3gms

Brouwer about 50%.

A rookie goaltender putting up - .927% ....1 shutout

Getting decent minutes out of -

20 yr old Kruger - 12min game - +2....saw PK time

22 yr old Smith - 15min game - 3g....saw PK/PP time

20 yr old Leddy - 15min game - -1....saw PP time

It took me a while to come in here because I was just depressed beyond reason. I am very very happy we have a team of players that are like brothers. I can't believe how they stood at each other's side when things were down. Keith showed his true character when Seebs went down, and how the rest all got up to back it up. I understand under the circumstances that that can't accomplish everything all the time, they are human, but what seperates them from other teams like the Nucks is they have the heart. It took the Nucks 3 years of goonry, shit talking, and a 3 game lead which in my book they should have lost, to get out of the mess. They celebrated last night like it they won the cup, the olympic medal and the fucking lottery, shit this was only round one. One thing is for sure. They are going to be mentally and physically drained thanks to us. And I guarantee if they are losing a series by one or two games, all this lou talk to run him out will start again along with reffing.

As for people in here complaining about Campoli turning over the puck is fucking bullshit. We are lucky to have him in our team. He is not the reason we lost, they all can be held accountable not just him. We were lucky to get him for what was out there.

I can not wait till next year! this team will be hungrey like mentioned, to want it again of the feeling they got from this series. I love the new look we got, just need to plug in a few players here and there and thats all we need.

God bless you all and for a wonderfull rollercoster of a season we had.

Well....Campoli did turn the puck over.

But I don't think anyone has bashed him/blamed him for the loss.

Not me here...I just find it almost poetic that our biggest problem all year has been the D clearing pucks cleanly from the zone and them not being intercepted. Coming back from down three, playing our hearts out, forcing OT, and that problem we had all year had to creep up to get us.

If nothing else, it gives the coaching staff something to get the D to work on in the offseason. I have a gut feeling we'll be much tighter in that area next year.
