I just don't see how a guy that play's 10min a game is going to bring the team down. If the Hawks only issue this year, is the 12th-13th forward - then it's going to be a great year.

Yet many complained about Scott last season.

If Stalberg were to get moved..it wouldnt be Smith taking his role as the 12/13th guy. It would probably be a guy like Mclean - a vet to play 10min. Not a young player looking to develop.

I'm more concerned about the hawks being 0-2-0 right now, in the preseason. I don't think I'm even going to watch anymore, the year is over, trade Kane.

Other than from the main core who is your pick to click? Who is the breakout guy?

JToews: I’d have to say it’s a toss-up between guys like Micahel Frolik, Viktor Stalberg, and Rostislav Olesz. I think they are three very skilled, left-hand shots. They all have speed, they’ve got strength and I think those are guys that can be really big for us this year. They’ll assume a role and they know when they get the chance they have to go out there and do something. They have the talent to do it.

Everytime someone mentions trading Kane....an Angel in HF50's world gets his wings.

LOL...yeah...he's more productive than the great Sean Avery.

Please.

I ran across one of his posts on HFboards.

It was basically complaining about the number of 3 in 4 nights that the Hawks have compared to the Wings this season and how that's going to cost them the cup in the long run. Although the Hawks won in a compressed schedule in 2010 with some of their players in the Winter Olympics.

The Picard facepalm was in full effect after I read his post.

Moving Stalberg does nothing for Saad, Smith, Morin...or any prospect.

Either/any of those 3...would have to pass a guy like Bickell (who doesn't impress me - but at 550K cap hit for the next 2yrs and his 17g...I dont move him), Frolik, Olesz or Brunette. Hossa/Kane aren't going anywhere.

Stalberg, Carcillo, Mayers are the 4th line wingers that will play 10min a game. Why would moving them - then slotting Saad or any of the prospect in - be smart, when they can go to the AHL/Jr's and play 18-20min a game and develop?

I disagree and agree depending on where Olezs is slotted. Moving Stalberg opens a potential top six spot for Smith or Saad.

If Olezs is slotted lower then it's a competition with Stalberg and the two rookies for the lone top 6 W position.

Tonight is the first home game I'm missing in three years. Will be the 3rd home game I've missed in over 350 home games. WILL POWER!

IMO..the penciled in 5 of the top 6 wingers (lines 1-3...in any order) are Kane, Hossa, Frolik, Brunette, Bickell...

Sharp - obviously, if playing wing

But if not...Olesz i think is going to get every opportunity (at 3mil, and his talent/potential)...then prob Stalberg.

I think if Smith or Saad (who I'm all for/extremely impressed with) make it...then they'd have to pass both those 2 for a top 9 spot. I don't see any situation where either of those 2 stay - simply to play on the 4th line/10 min a game.

Those are top 9. Bickell/Frolik will be on the 3rd line...

Top 6

Brunette-Toews-Kane

----------Sharp-Hossa

That spot is up for grabs IMO

if Olesz or Stalberg get it without earning it and on salary, then that's BS, but you are right. In that scenario all the rookies go to Rockford. Then if injury smith or Saad would be the first call ups.

Top 9 forwards...but top 6 wingers (2 wingers per line...3 lines....)

I think Saad has to go to Jr's still due to age - so it's NHL or Jr's for him.

Shit...I'm all for/that impressed with Saad to want to see him on a line with Hossa/Sharp. That would put both (?) Olesz/Stalberg on the 4th line or one of them moved. If Saad were then to shit the bed, he'd have to stay....then get moved to the 4th line/pressbox. If Smith - then ya, he could get sent down.

I guess I dont see enough bad things out of Stalberg to say he can't be a seviceable 4th line winger. Olesz - don't know nearly enough yet either.

I wasn't sure on his age. Surprised they sent Mcneil back so quick and not Saad then.

also says something Beach has not been in the line up last night or tonight.

True. Beach is going down fast than TCD on an Asian boy.

I thought Saad was playing simply to play in PITT and then go back to Jr's - then in the lineup again tonite? Maybe rewarding him for his play and show others this kid isn't going away and making the most of his time.

LOL at HF50. I heard he used the force to pick it up and sling it - so he had no finger prints on it.

I'll be at the game. Going with 6 friends but me and one friend are sitting in Agenthe's seats while the other 4 are down low. Gonna be great to see the Hawks take the ice, it has been way to fucking long.
