The Batting Average isn't the main idea with Dunn for me. Its HRs, RBIs, and BBs. He was brought to hit HRs knock in runs and get on base. Dunn is the least of our worries.

Well we dont have any run producers on this team. We need Dunn. Where would we be without his 60 RBIs?
So you are saynig no Dunn, those 60 rbi's just disappear??? Come on now.
He was brought in to do a heck of a lot more. Not saying you, but anyone who thinks it was to just hit homers really needs to check his or herself.
If Brett and CS combined brains they still wouldnt comprehend this discussion.
Dunn has pretty much done all the White Sox have asked so far.
If Konerko wasn't finally showing his age, Viciedo and Ramirez weren't disappointing, and there was some offense from the catcher position it wouldn't be a problem.
No one said he was, but this is a Dunn thread. It's not like Dunn is the only one striking out or not getting on base.
I know, Dunn does no wrong. Nominating your love of Dunn for worst posts of the site
Actually he hasn't. His Avg, OB%, SLG% all career lows each and every year. But don't let the Dunn lovers allow you to believe it.
Any time a player does not perform it's a problem.

Ok so Dunn not hitting is a problem. But Konerko not hitting is a much bigger problem.
Konerko is probably done, but again, this is a thread on Dunn not Konerko.
Dunn is owner of tow or three of the top five worst home run seasons of 40 or more including the top spot from last year. They got him for a heck of a lot more than 35-40 hits (albeit homers) a season.
Even in the year he led in walks, his ob% was one of his career worst. What's that say? Same with slg%
That's like holding 2 or 3 of the worst 1,500 yard rushing seasons in the NFL. If you're the worst of some of the best that's still pretty damn good and productive. Dunn hasn't been tremendous but he's been productive. Even last year he had an OPS of .800 and an OPS+ of 113. So he was above average.
This season after a bad start to the year over the last month and a half he's been hitting nearly .300 and has an OPS of well over .900
The fact this fan base is talking about Dunn being an issue when looking up and down the rest of the lineup is mind boggling.
