I was never a fan of him even in Rockford, idk where you get this info from
are you fucking serious? you mentioned how you liked him a million times the first 3 months of the season on xbox. so now you are going to back track? sweet.
4 points from matching his totals last year. On pace for 49 points.
:yeah:
Okay, well that's what I expect to happen. I just don't like his offensive production. Maybe he'll be better on the fourth line, but that's still not certain.
I don't want to see him with Kane and Toews ever again though. And I was a little upset when they re-signed him until I saw the money.
I don't really care if he's out on the ice or if he's up in the press box with John Scott.
First, he played a couple games there and made Kane and Toews look worse. I'm not saying he's terrible or that just because maybe he hasn't fully developed that he automatically sucks.
If he hasn't fully developed like you say then he shouldn't be on the first line. That seems obvious. You compare him to guys in the minors by asking me if I think they all suck to, so why do you think that Stalberg deserves to be up on the top line even though you just compared him to minor league players?
And and about Olesz, there's a reason he was drafted so high. Frolik wasn't great with the Panthers, came here with guys who could feed him the puck and was better. It's not guaranteed, but I'm willing to give him and chance and he doesn't deserve to be ripped even though he hasn't played a single game for the Hawks.
I guess I misunderstood you. It is true that Sharp is probably the only one that worked well with that line but I don't think Stalberg was ready to be put up there and it showed.
Well maybe the Leafs or Hawks should have given him more time to develop so that when he started playing in the NHL he would be ready. I'd rather see him develop in the AHL than see him stink it up in the NHL.
Well, Patrick Sharp also played on a shitty team and Stalberg played on the defending cup team. So, it's not exactly the same, but I see your point.
Okay. Well, either way that stat doesn't say much. All it says is that Sharp was a late bloomer, we don't have any stats on Stalberg for the future so we will never know if he is a late bloomer or if he just isn't that good.
I never said that that Sharp sucked because he was a late bloomer. And if Stalberg is one, then in a year or two I'll see that. Right now Stalberg isn't very good. In a few years, who knows.
This is basically what I think about Stalberg and yet you're one of the guys arguing with me. I'm saying that right now he hasn't done much and he might be good and just take longer to develop, but he could also end up being worthless.
I don't know. I didn't see him do much. Maybe I'm an idiot and you can go ahead and think that, but I have my opinion on him. He could be a good player, but he could also end up being worthless. I have no problem with his contract because it's so small, but he's just not a player I see helping the Hawks for years to come.
The thing is, the Hawks have so many prospects that are younger and could be better that we don't even need Stalberg. Ben Smith is a great prospect. McNeill is already fighting to get to the NHL (He won't get there, but the fighting for it is worth something). The Hayes brothers are good. I think after this contract is done with Stalberg, he should just be let go. By then there will be so many good prospects ready for the NHL that we won't even need him.
Skating and being pretty.
