i still LOL every time someone complains about him...he is getting $875,000

if THAT is our biggest worry this season, we should win the cup easily

my LOL is that this is his 2nd full season in the NHL, look how long it took the other guys to "develop" in the minors

I don't want to see him with Kane and Toews ever again though. And I was a little upset when they re-signed him until I saw the money.

I don't really care if he's out on the ice or if he's up in the press box with John Scott.

How many games did he play up there? not many.
What about the other guys who couldn't cut it with them? Do they suck to?

Who complains about Olezs? He's kind of like Frolik. Was never good because he was never on a good team.

Really? lol

First, he played a couple games there and made Kane and Toews look worse. I'm not saying he's terrible or that just because maybe he hasn't fully developed that he automatically sucks.

If he hasn't fully developed like you say then he shouldn't be on the first line. That seems obvious. You compare him to guys in the minors by asking me if I think they all suck to, so why do you think that Stalberg deserves to be up on the top line even though you just compared him to minor league players?

And and about Olesz, there's a reason he was drafted so high. Frolik wasn't great with the Panthers, came here with guys who could feed him the puck and was better. It's not guaranteed, but I'm willing to give him and chance and he doesn't deserve to be ripped even though he hasn't played a single game for the Hawks.

Where in my post did I say he should be on the top line? I stated he shouldn't be bashed because he didn't perform on the 1st line just like everyone else except for Sharp.

Also these minor league guys that I stated where the ones who I said Developed in the minors. Heres an example, Brouwer, Bickell, Dowell, I simply said they had to develope in the AHL to mkake the roster, Stalberg never did.

Frolik wasn't great with the Panthers? Him, Wiess, and Booth, even Horton when he was with the team was their offensive support. Olesz has never lived up to his potential. He's also been very injury prone.

Right, because he is the 19 year old prospect that needs to develop still. he will be 26 this season.

He had a couple of good seasons with Univ Of Verm and HC. Those are not close to the NHL level.

Sure it is his "2nd full season" He still has 117 games under his belt. So technically halfway through the season he will be going on his 3rd season of games at the NHL level.

Ok, he chose to play in college, that would make him start a bit later in an NHL career, so therefore, he didn't start getting that pro experience like most of these guys did.

College Hockey isn't close to the NHL, well then all of our College draft picks are going to all be busts, because College Hockey isn't close to the NHL.

82 games in a season. 2 seasons = 164 games, technically he's not even half way through his 2nd season.

I guess I misunderstood you. It is true that Sharp is probably the only one that worked well with that line but I don't think Stalberg was ready to be put up there and it showed.

Well maybe the Leafs or Hawks should have given him more time to develop so that when he started playing in the NHL he would be ready. I'd rather see him develop in the AHL than see him stink it up in the NHL.

Wow! you dont get it do you? Jesus Christ. You see what I am saying, instead of trying to twist my words (which you fail at) consider the actual point.

Technically by games played. he still played 40 with the leafs, which is pretty damn close to a half season in games played, 77 games with the hawks, which is pretty damn close to a full season, and I would consider that 1 full seaon in the league. So with the leafs and hawks, it is already 1.5 seasons played, and at the halfway point of 2011-2012 he will be going for season 3. Are you really going to argue a handful of games? Im sure those games he missed really messed up his development

you are arguing about a player who is highly flawed at his game, and your only backbone ( which is very soft ) is the "nhl level experience" ( at 26 ) and his defensive zone defense.

Could he turn out to be something? maybe. I will bet against it all day long. But as of right now, you have NOTHING that proves he currently is a good hockey player, let alone a top 6.

"points dont mean that much" ummm, yeah they do when you are again courting him in the top 6.

1.5 + 1/2 = 3?

But you brought up games played, so I broke it down? Now its back to season's. You calling me out in the season matter vs. games didn't work out for you?

26 does look bad for a prospect, but how many actually stay in school and finish instead of turning pro, let alone coming from another country?

1.5 + 1/2 = 3?
:dunno:

Added up right would be what I said he's technically played. We'll give Dewey his handful of games and say 2.5 seasons at the end of the year.
