The argument for Fields NOT being "Elite" and keeping him anyway.

I think we can agree on one thing: There's 5 games left...

I hope Fields kicks ass and stays consistent throughout. I hope we dominate every game.

IF that happens, I'd be cool with skipping a QB at #1. Bagent qualifies as an intriguing backup to develop behind Fields.

I just want continued improvement from Fields.

With this OC, I don't think Fields will be given much opportunity to "kick ass" due to scheme and coaching limitations.

Also, an important aspect of all of this, that gets overlooked, is Fields' teammates all believe in him and appear to love him. If they move on from Fields this offseason, there is a real chance even a new coach coming in will lose the team.

I hope you’re not already making excuses for continued inconsistency from Fields, MJ. In Year 3, it’s time for Fields to “kick ass” as mentioned. Five consistent games to close the season would close the deal from him and you, so I hope you’re impartial over the next 5 weeks. Granted, if Getsy handcuffs Fields the way he did against the Vikings, then it’s a different story, but I doubt we’ll see that again. Thus, the next 5 weeks will weigh heavy on the shoopster’s Final Answer, which I’ll issue to the board on Black Monday.

So then by your logic, the Chiefs should get rid of Patrick Mahomes this year? I mean, he isn't kicking ass this year and has been inconsistent all year. By Shoopster logic, maybe they need to trade up and replace him. :ROFLMAO:

Hold on, MJ, I’ve gotta correct you on this one . . .

. . . It’s “shoopster,“ with a small “s” . . .

I really love watching Fields! He's fun to watch. I have high hopes in him. I have some issues with Getsy, obviously.

But I've seen Fields fold a lot too. Regardless of the OC, scheme or play call, it's just NFL QBing to be mostly consistent in protecting the ball, staying in good pockets and throwing the ball without taking so many sacks. I mean, over 2 3/4ths years you want to blame his lack of developmental consistency on the coaching staffs. But nobody is coaching him not to do those basic things consistently. NFL players must generally do what they're told but pro players primarily develop themselves. They are free to hire professional mentors to assist them in their private time.

I saw the same problem with inconsistency with Jay Cutler. Jay was Cutler's problem.

If you moved on straight to the personal attacks instead of an actual rebuttal, I'll take it as you're pretty pissed that I've hit pretty close to the mark on what a disingenuous bastard you are. You'll deny it of course but the fact that you've moved to this mode says it all...

I don't think we'll get the chance to see Fields with good coaching in Chicago. I think with good coaching he could be as good as Hurts, Tua, Allen, Lawrence, etc. Unfortunately, he's had Matt Nagy and Luke Getsy.

Look at the improvement some young QBs had when they got a good offensive mind with them:

Tua went from 2,653 yds, 16 TDs, 10 Ints, 90.1 rating with Flores to 3,548 yds, 25 TDs, 8 Ints, 105.5 rating with McDaniel
Lawrence went from 3,641 yds, 12 TDs, 17 Ints, 71.9 rating with Meyer to 4,113 yds, 25 TDs, 8 Ints, 95.2 rating with Pederson
Mahomes currently has his lowest rating since his rookie year with Matt Nagy in his ear.

Coaching matters and the Bears don't have good coaching. It's hurting Fields development. Hopefully he goes to a team that prioritizes their QB with a good offensive mind so we can see his full potential.

It's called being humble and a leader, something you lack.
First off, what about my post is making you angry? I'm defending Fields by giving a more accurate description of what he said post game since that other poster was lying out of his ass.

Secondly, im not humble but i am a leader IRL and on CCS. As crybaby @dabears70 about all of my followers, dumbass.
