Im good with this.

I know there has been a lot of debate in the past regarding who runs the pp. I have no idea who it is but when i see kitch with the play board when its a time out on a man advantage my gutt tells me its been him. But whatever.

Here's the possible next head coach. A bowman guy. How surprising.

The funniest thing is, when coaches pull out the old white board, they all pretty much draw up the same play. Center wins it back, Wings rush the net, dman gets the puck and tosses it cross ice to his partner who has broke to the net on an angle for a one timer.

What does this say aboot the suppossed power struggle. IMO Q is McD/Tallon/Stan's guy (40/40/10 split perhaps) and Scotty brings in this guy to teach them how to run a power play/coach? Has to mean Q/Kitch and maybe Havi' are not long for the Blackhawks. It looks as bad as Q being brought in to "advise" Savvy. Live and die by the sword I guess.... If only McD has his balls handed to him as well.

I think it's getting way to read into towards replacing the entire coaching staff.

If anything, it would be as an assistant (replacing either Kitchen or Haviland)...or even sitting in the press box with the headset on.

Maybe, still looks bad though, as if management has lost confidence in the coaching staff.

If we get some new systems it is not too late to salvage this season. This team isn't bad. Hell I think the boys will put in some effort if the line juggling ceases and they get rid of the broken systems. I can see this team going on an absolute tear. This has given me hope for the remainder of this season.

I don't think Q was Tallon's guy in any way. shape or form.

How so? McD was only recently hired, as in a few weeks. DT was definately firmly entrenched as GM at the time, and it pre-dates Scotty being brought in as an advisor (I think) as well. The McD/DT power struggle was only in it's infancy. Your implying that DT was not involved in any decision making as soon as Rocky brought McD on board?

According to the Hawks' web site:

McPimp was hired on 11/20/07

Scotty was hired in July, 2008

Q was hired was a scout in Sept, 2008

Q became coach in Oct, 2008.

Go ahead and tell me that the decision to shitcan Savvy was made alone by Dale.

Q was Scotty, not Tallon. Firing Savard was McDonough.

The ONLY reason Savard wasn't fired earlier IE prospect camp is because Q came with a recent DUI. Not the kind of press that McD would approve of.

Mcdonough had been here an entire season already when this happened/transpired. Tallon/Savard/Dudley were all long doomed.

And thinking of it more IF Q is to be fired at season end, which I highly doubt, it will be twisted into Tallons fault. Watch. When in actuality it had NOTHING to do with him. I almost want to say Mark Bergavan was friends with Q. One of them was. Wheres Bergavan now? Yea.

Funny my white board had a big dick and some balls on it. Players were drawing up their own plays on it!

I didn't. He was part of the process though...

Its almost a little like slap in the face of the coaching staff in a way of saying your not doing your job and let me show you the pink slip this offseason. Its a shrewd way of doing things but what ever benifits this team Im all for it.

If "Q" is Scotty's guy, and he's bringing in somebody to "advise" and coach special teams , thats not saying much (at least positive) about Scotty's opinion of Q or his staff.

My bad on the time line of hiring/firing McD, Scotty, Savvy, DT. I stand corrected.

Bergevin is the Assistant GM, what's your point?

They won't fire their friend? Duh. They will instead baby him and give him all the answers so he can cheat on the test.

Coaching by committee works for some people, but others see it as a vote of no confidence in THE coach's abilities.

So let me get this straight, Q is friends with Bergevin who is friends with Scotty, who is friends with McD, who hates Stan, and Stan hates Q, and the players hate Q but Q hates the players too.

Now I remember why I hate soap operas.

That wasn't the point, rather how Q got involved and why Bergeron is still here. Although it's very much like a soap opera, from the time Mcdonough was hired. All you have to do is look at Dudley and Campbells public comments after they left to see that for yourself. Specially Dudley who never throws anyone under the bus that I've ever seen.

Either way it is what it is. And Wino I think Q was certainly approved by Scotty. Ironic now Scotty's boy is coming ON ICE to help the mess. Funny shit it is!!

Also remind me what Al Mcissac has ever done? Assistant to the President? Least thats what his original title was. So the President needed an assistant to teach him about hockey, so he could then meddle in said hockey? I'm so confused.
