Power Plays should be set up simply which is something the Hawks can't do... they'd rather have Power Playbinskys and try to be better than they are.

Ageed...I watch Lidstrom on the PP and he wrists the puck so it

A-Does not get blocked (quick release)

B-can be tipped

When teams score that way, then the fwds on the kill have to come out farther and that opens up the ice lower down and that leads to really good chances.

With the hawks we are standing still and mis-handling the puck and passing it at such a slow pace that the fowards are dropping low to help the D...and when we do shoot from the point we hesitate and then take a full windup which gets blocked too much. Go Hox.

My question to the origanzation is why wait for 20 games left in the season to salvage the PP. The way this organization preaches and swears by is mistake free, one goal crap. You have this guy teaching the PP unit, why was he not brought in when everyone was noticing a change in this team a change that took a nose dive. Any true winning organization would notice this and remove the cancer right away and not let it come down to we may make playoffs we may not.

Because up until two weeks ago it was still 14th in the league.

We aren't losing because our PP sucks, we are losing because we can't keep the puck out of our net.

Maybe they need more fans to yell shoot?

As if this team needs more bandwagon fans.... I'm no bandwagonner and I can't even get a ticket. -.-

Haven't been to a live Hawks game since the 2010 season, so I got Center Ice instead this year >.>

In case anyone was wondering, Barry Smith has continued to make appearances in each practice lately.

Awesome. I liked what I saw in the Ottawa game from the Hawks. They played a lot better fundamentals and the PP had a lot more movement than it usually does.

I think Kitchen is gone in the offseason.

I was wondering that very thing, Ton! Thanks for the update.

soon you'll see Bowman Senior popping up and showing Q how to solidify lines.

If what is said is true, that Bowman wants this guy to help coach the PP, to run the practices, and so on, then stop pussyfooting around and fire the coach/coaches you feel responsible for the crappy PP. Sweet shit, at least give those guys a chance to find employment elsewhere.

Agreed. Many say it is "too late" to fire a coach this late in the season... I say it's never too late. If this is the best option moving forward, do it as soon as you possibly can. The Leafs had no problem firing Ron Wilson, not saying Q should go but if Kitchen is the problem remove him and replace him with Smith.
