I mentioned before how bad maltodextrin is and it's most often found in things such as seasonings. Always better off just buying stuff in it's most raw, whole and untainted way so you, yourself controls what goes in it and how it's cooked.
I have two chest feezers, for years now. Fill them with halve steer and various other animals routinely. Nowadays I pay $3/lb for grass-fed regardless of cut, because I buy the animal live and put it on a friend's pasture.

Don't let him fool you and people shouldn't let those grass fed labels fool them either. You'll find grass fed meat in just about every store now. It's more about price mark up than providing the buyer with a better source of meat. Fact is virtually all cows are grass fed for the first half of their lives so damn near anything can be called grass fed. Ideally, you'd want something 100% grass fed and certified organic and the label would say exactly that. Even then, would never completely trust it. Gotta go by taste and feel too.
