After reading this thread it is painfully obvious none of you watch the Raiders on a weekly basis.

Not really. Carr’s averages are better than any qb in bears history. Not saying Carr is great, but that’s painful..

Hate to say this but Carr and Trubs are pretty much the same guy with Trubs having better feet. And that is watching with my eyes. Quote stats all you want.

I can see that (y) Whats problematic for me is Carr's only had one winning season.

The only thing I would say is trade Mitch. I’m sure a team would give us a 3rd or 4th for him because of his “upside”.

some of these posters are willing to waste away another year of 2 of this defense for the sake of proving the mitch haters wrong.

By 2022 the window is closed and the Bears D will need an overhaul.

Carr was ranked as the 11th best player in the ENTIRE NFL by his peers 3 years ago and was a 3rd place MVP candidate. Please tell me when Mitch has or will EVER be ranked in the Top 100?!?!? Carr has already proven he can be ELITE. Mitch never will

No one cares about proving haters wrong. We wanna see Trubisky with a real team around him before we give up.

Bold plan, Windy.

Course, I don't think Pace has given up on Trub, so doubt Carr will happen. Not sure why you want to give up the chance for a 2nd Rd LT, or why you don't want Nick Williams. I don't think teams will be banging down Kwit's door. And with Trevathan's injury record and age -- and recent Bears' history on this sort of thing -- considering the Kwit option, I think Danny is a poor $ risk. I'm even comfortable with Smith, KPL, Woods. Thinking more of Marcus Golden, B. Irvin, Fackrell or even Suggs.

Any off-season idea that offers a QB upgrade will fundamentally improve our playoff chances. For all the other things you can do to put successful players around trubisky, he still isn't hitting open players downfield.

We lost five games by one score or fewer last year, two of which were divisional matchups vs GB. In theory, we could be one play away from flipping any of those losses into wins with a QB who can hit Miller on time.

I also like the choice of Mims, who would improve our big play ability.
Honestly imho adding a couple pieces one offense and Carr at qb with a healthy defense makes us super bowl contenders.

Give me Carr and a starting guard and that's a successful offseason to me.

Carr is what we hope Trubisky to be. Carr has great accuracy, but both are a little gunshy to trust their eyes when throwing down the field (especially in the middle). They are kind of similar, but Carr simply does everything better at this point, except run.

I guess you missed Mitch's pro bowl season. I will say it again. They are the same guy. I watch both every week. Carr is fucking far from being elite. What parallel universe are you living in?

Really/ You must be watching different games than I watch every week. And I am a Raiders fan.

I mean, I'll admit I don't watch him every week. But 70.4% completions (better than everyone in the history of the NFL other than Brees, Ken Anderson, and Sam Bradford) says he's pretty accurate. I don't care if he's checking down every play, that's the 8th best number in the history of football, and doesn't appear to be a 1-off with 69% in 2018.

You do realize that just because both QB's aren't elite one can still clearly be better than other?

On a almost identical number of attempts Carr threw for more TD's, less picks, with far higher completion percentage and more yards per attempt.

Literately every major passing stats indicates Carr is better.

I also agree that Carr isn't a world beater by today's standards and is more or less an Alex Smith type.

The real take away here is that Mitch sucks and that Carr would still represent a significant upgrade despite not being elite.

Mitches pro bowl year he was the 4th alternate. Mitch has never voted by his peers as a top 100 player let alone a top 11. He’s never been considered an MVP candidate by anyone. How are you comparing Mitches Pro Bowl year to Carr’s MVP running up year? Are you high. Mitches peers don’t even think Mitch can quartetback and he has never been a top player

Not going to argue with you. Believe what you want. I prefer to believe my eyes. People on CCS want fucking anybody with a pulse over Trubisky.. Now we have a thread wanting the 3rd stringer on the niners.

And no.... I wont be high until this evening.
