Good for Hester! His return threat is sorely missed in Chicago.

He really must hate bear weather and bear turf ...

He looks good in a dome mind you.

He looked pretty good anywhere (dismiss any backwards runs). Best return man of all time.

We probably wouldn't have either of Jared Allen or Wilie Young. Plus, Hester has had a much bigger impact on offense than on ST so far and we know he wouldn't have had as big of a role on offense here. In fact, people would incessantly ***** about it before even seeing him perform if we made him a part of the offense. We'll be alright.

Yeah I don't know what the financial situation was like but it seemed like we could have kept him if we wanted him. Our return men are bad, real bad, and i'm just glad if we get it past the 15 these days. With Hester, every return was a potential big play, we didn't need him to do anything on offense. Oh well, maybe Holmes will step up.

Hester has looked like a star with the Falcons

why didn't we keep this guy jesus christ. This is starting to look like Emery's worst mistake

Boy, hyperbole much? Jesus Christ. The guy has 20 yards rushing and a return TD tonight and everyone acts like we let Jerry Rice go.

Look, blocking on that was amazing, I know Hester wouldn't have had that in Chi.

I guess the bigger thing to do is be happy he went somewhere where ST wasn't undergoing a complete overhaul and he could have some more success before retirement.

Why are people acting like that? Hester got lazy and not good last year. Change of scenery helped him.

Makes a couple plays for the Falcons and that somehow counters 4 years of incompetence at WR?

You must have been a McCown guy.

Wtf!? People wanted him back as a returner. No one is talking about him starting at wide out for the Bears. Heck, no one is even talking about him getting a "Hester Package" on offense.

OBVIOUSLY HE IS STILL A GOOD RETURNER, AS HE HAS SHOWN TONIGHT!

Just stop, please. Quit acting like you're an "expert" and a "realist"

It's obvious you don't like him when you make stupid comments about "incompetence at WR" when no one is talking about that and just talking about him being a returner. SMH.

I completely agree with this. He needed a change of scenery. He looks like his old self now. He hasn't looked that good in Chicago in 5-6 years

The first half of 2011 is the last time he looked this way. It wasn't all that long ago. He had rather shitty blocking in 2012 and extremely shitty blocking in 2013.

No, there was plenty of people saying they wanted him total in the offense in this section, since he had a good week 1 on offense with Atlanta. It's literally there in print in pages in the thread.

As a returner, there was some who claimed he was bad the last two years who don't seem to understand what bad as a returner is. He was still a very good returner for the team with poor blocking. The fact he let some balls drop here and there was relevant but also caused by intentional punting away from him. He could of taken dumb risks like Earl Thomas but stopped doing that.

We have fucking Sinorise Perry returning kicks

Hester looked very good against New Orleans and is looking great again today. Bears are looking bad today for letting him break that record in another uniform.

Just a thought, but do you think, knowing his team was getting shellacked anyway, that Lovie deliberately kept kicking to Hester to give him the shot at the record?

I thought this too. If so, good for Him. It's fairly obvious the falcons are going to continue this murder.
