I did answer that question (Edit - and then I asked a clarifying follow-up question). Second sentence. You showed me two plays as if they are representative as a whole to compare to a season of Bears games. I do not have an instagram, so I cannot scout baldy for a single play. If you want a highlight reel, I am more than happy to just go find one and say "look, here are sacks and tackles."

You didnt say anything. You shared two plays and acted like you made a point. That isn't a persuasive argument.
Actually the HOF voters base player’s entire careers on just a few highlights or lowlights. True story. They get together and watch a 45second reel of plays and that’s what they vote on.

Oh damn you, I laughed enough to spray a cone of coffee, and had to clean my monitor. The wall is fine.

Hope you are ready for a Happy Thanksgiving!

over the last couple of years, the bears signed aline backer and RB, and they were anything but cheap, in fact 2 line backers

Yes, the linebacker they signed who plays the position Jack Campbell does(TJ Edwards) was relatively cheap and is a much better player. He was also undrafted.

The RB was given 8m on two guaranteed years, thats already less guaranteed money than Gibbs has.

No way you float it, it was still stupid to draft a RB and a off ball linebacker in the first round over a DT,WR,CB.

It's not two plays it's a collection of plays from two games.

Your fear of social media baffles me because this message board has the same things lurking on it that a social media site would have.

You're online you're not protecting yourself from sh!t.

Daniel is constantly looking for significance while using inductive reasoning. Objectivity has never been his thing. He was constantly crediting Billings with anything good that came from Dexter and his #'s haven't changed without Billings. His pressures and tackles over the last 3 games are as high as any other 3 game stint this year and he's had 2 of his top 5 games in those. His PFF grade is 75.5.

This, after the Minn. game where he had a pretty great day.
87.9 PFF, 84.3 RDEF, 5 Tackles, 5 Pressures, 3 Run Stops.

The most worrisome shit is he thinks the 3 technique is supposed to blow up a play every single snap.

He clearly doesnt understand gap integrity. Not surprising cause there is zero shot double chin dan has played a sport in his life

The best part is this idiot is making this stance again after arguably dexters best performance of the season. He's been getting doubled a ton since billings went down and he's the bears best defensive lineman this past sunday

Problem is the opposing OL can double Dexter and simply chip Sweat and the QB will have a clean pocket, especially since Flus refuses to blitz. Walker/Pickens/Taylor and others are just not getting home. Sucks to watch this but it’s only guaranteeing Flus’s exit.

and if he doesnt have a clean pocket, a pressure from one guy who doesnt get home wont do shit besides put more stress on the defensive backs when the QB rolls out.

Bears are actually like 7th in pressure rate, but they havent been getting home. I regularly see one guy win and get a "pressure" but its either not enough to disrupt the pocket or gives the QB an easy out to the sideline.

He was correct on Fields
Looks like this year may be an exception but dumping on the 4th or 5th Qb in the 1st round has VG likelihood of success.

Misread me here on the most part. I am on this messageboard because I no longer have a water cooler at an office to talk football, and nobody in my neighborhood is a Bears fan. Sure, China this, self esteem that and phishing blah blah blah - I don't have a use for those sites mostly for separate reasons. Well, the China thing is a real reason, but that involves commentary that I do not want to invite into a football conversation. I don't want to come across as talking down to you so you will have to simply respect my choice here.

Sorry, I was being a bit hyperbolic because I did see more than two plays but did cut short, so I went back in on them continued watching. On browser, I see a shaky handheld camera, showing a horizontal video as a vertical video, and baldinger uptalking about select replays that were sped up and slowed down repeatedly. It was the same for both. I just can't do that - I have my reasons - so how about we talk about the games we watch instead of trying to compare highlight reels?

I saw in those shots plays such as: Carter catching up to Daniels past the line of scrimmage, Carter pushing a QB into anther to set up a sack, Carter rushing a pass and not getting home, Carter batting a ball, and so on. Having watched lots of Bears games I have seen Dexter do all of those things. I see Carter beating a rookie center, and beating a Nate Davis level of effort. Yeah a lot of people do that, and the Bears OL has let chumps do that, so I am not seeing a result worth hanging your hat on. I havent seen Dexter play every snap of a game I do not think, but I do not see that as a good thing. That sounds like bad player management. The only big difference I am seeing in the highlight reel is that Carter does have better hand usage (if the highlight reel habits I saw are routine for him). That is part of training, so that sounds more like a reason to criticize the coach to me. What are you seeing in the past, I don't know, four weeks of Eagles games that is worth the whole big deal?

So? He should be better than Dexter. Did we need an OT and get a VG DT in round 2? VG OTs are harder to find at 53. Could Carter have had a very different career here without a good team or Georgia teammates? Easy to understand why Poles did this, even if it didn't have as high an upside.

Yea, you usually dont find great tackles in the 2nd round. That position is always usually overdrafted too.

Any competent DT looks unstoppable with 1v1 blocking

You can tell he doesnt even watch all the eagles games because there were plenty of games, particularly early in the year, where jalen carter was non-existent for multiple quarters at a time. But one flashy play in the game on tiktok is all that matters.

Dexter - 33 pressures, 5 sacks, 11 hits, 17 hurries, 18 run stops, 75.5 PFF grade in 193 run snaps and 288 pass snaps.

Carter - 35 pressues, 4 sacks, 7 hits, 24 hurries, 18 run stops, 78.5 PFF grade in 185 run snaps and 361 pass snaps.
@DanielCCSBears so what are you concerns?

This is actually one of the most bizarre comparisons in the history of CCS
