Funny, because I see a guy filling his gaps and pushing back the pocket while also being double teamed a decent amount.

But i know your fat ass is blind AND stupid.
So you saw what I saw. You saw him doing the absolute bare minimum required to remain on the roster few times.

He should be a disruptive force and the catalyst for the entire defense. That's the job of the 3-technique.

IDK, i prefer the guy who was a late 2nd rounder over the top 10 pick with the same production.

One of them is also has great character and work ethic while the other has questions regarding both - still.

Carter may one day end up being far and away the better player but both of them are fringe pro bowl level players this year. Double chin dan is just making threads and doubling down on his stupidity. At this point i think he just enjoys being talked shit to
Regarding the italicized, we are all aware of Daniel's thoughts. But I would just root for whichever is in our colors.

And that is also my response to the unitalicized. Dexter is the one playing for our team, and whichever is on your team, they cost less than a free agent. People talk about draft picks as if they are capital, but me? No I see them as land. Blah blah blah economics but long story short, if it were Carter in our colors and Dexter in Philly, the stats are comparable enough and they are both cheaper than Justin Jones, so the deciding factor on who I prefer remains "whoever wears Chicago's jersey."

Those seem like two good young players. Comparable, even. I would be hard pressed to say which I would prefer.

I personally am more excited for Gordon. NB is such a hard position compared to the rest of the DB group. You want to move on from regular so-and-sos quickly at NB because finding a good one is a gem. Given that top outside WRs run routes from the slot routinely, I am just too excited when Gordon puts together a good game. Amon Ra St Brown does a lot of damage running routes against slot receivers, and I am looking forward to Gordon making his money on Thursday.
You can find a NB off the street. You don't pay those guys.

I am not here to defend what other people say - I do want to thank you for being hilarious, cheeky, and keeping it above the belt!

If I recall correctly, that comment was also related to how Bryce Callahan was valued by Bears fans? When Callahan went to the Broncos, he did so for an average salary of $7M. That is 2020 dollars, contracts have gone up since then, and Kyler Gordon is going to barely top that over his four year contract. I don't have the real world experience to get to talk about values of draft picks, I never made one in my life. I have however been in the world of corporate cash, and I would have loved the option to spend a draft pick to save money like that.

I just want to assert that because hey, taking one player over another in the draft is arguable and fun. But drafting a player when you could have signed a FA to be a starter is not a good argument because draft picks don't get paid very much. Kyler Gordon is getting paid about as much this year as Jon Owens is, a backup SS.

So you can’t find them on the street?
I mean you can find them but if you have an elite NB, you have to pay them. The NB is very important in this defense; question is, what defense will be here next year?

Kyle Hamilton plays all over the field and is very likely the best NB in the league. Crazy part is he didn’t exactly run a blistering 40 and the Ravens were thrilled that he dropped to #14

Jesus how much do you think he is going to command on his next contract?

I always thought the job of the 3T is win their 1-1's when they get them. If your 3T is being constantly doubled, it likely means you don't have other credible threats on the line. Hence all the talk this past offseason and next offseason for the need for an edge pass rusher.

The guys that can consistently beat double teams are the HoF caliber DL. And no one is putting Dexter in that category.

What's funny is I wasn't the bring up Carter at first everyone else was. I only care about how our guy is playing game to game. As predicted he tapered from the small bit of success he was achieving from the work Billings was doing for him. You that was the other point I made.

I was under the impression that you thought that the team should have drafted Carter and not Wright and Dexter. Is that not the case?

It is odd watching you give credit to another player for what Dexter accomplishes. Nobody is taking anything away from Billings. This defense aims to create pressure using 4 down linemen against 5 blockers, every pass rusher out there gets pressure because other linemen do their job.

Suppose, if you will, that there exists an abundance of incredible NBs...
Are you honestly trying to tell me the one play Gordon made yesterday puts him in the elite status?

BTW when is Gordon going play a full 17 games because he is in year 3 and missed time this year as well.

Are players only injury prone if they are players the board doesn't like?

When is Dexter going to do his job because the defense is shit.

News flash this is one of the worst defenses in the NFL over the past 4 games.

I guess when the Lions put up 40 on the defense this week reality will start to sink in on how overrated this defense is.
