Hopefully it can fix the annoying lag problems I've had. They haven't been debilitating or game-crippling, but it does make the game slightly less fun to play having to deal w/ it every time I play.

This is the patch I've been waiting on. Supposed to fix long term play on the PS3.

My comments on the ideas

Spears- Fallout: New Vegas had spears, so why not Skyrim?
Kill cams for magic- They'd be similar to the Fallout VATS kill cam
Water arrows- That'd be kind of neat. But is water damage really necessary?
Giant mud crabs- There is one giant mud crab in the current game, I'd enjoy more.
Paralysis runes- I don't really use runes, so it'd be useless for me, but could be useful for mages.
Seasonal foliage- I thought there already was seasonal foliage. Near Riften it looks like Fall, the Southwest looks like Spring/Summer, North looks like late Fall and Winter.
Speedy water currents- I'd hate this, but it'd add to the realism. I've gotten swept off a waterfall a few times by a steady current.
Dark dungeons- I'd love this because using the light spells/staffs would come in handy.
Adoption of children- no, **** kids.
Advanced home building- more customization would be really nice.
Epic new mounts- Epic? like controllable dragons, mammoths, bears and sabrecats? Count me in.
Fast travel portals- that'd be pointless, you can fast travel from the map already.
Kinect dragon shouts- too many idiots wouldn't know how to pronounce the words correctly.
Enhanced water visuals- I thought the water looks fine.
Ice and fire arrows- Visually? I guess that'd be neat.
Lycanthrope perk tree- Eh. You don't stay as a werewolf for long periods of time unless you wear that one ring.
Vampire imp minions- Don't know, haven't been a vampire in this game, but it was a ***** to be one in Oblivion.
Goblins- They were in Oblivion, so why not in Skyrim? It'd be nice to have a new enemy.

Here's the video for all those things.

This video is amazing because you can actually see the ideas in action.

That mud crab at the end...yikes.

Patch is live on the 360, still waiting for PS3 to make it live.

Some notes about the PS3 version

The 1.4 patch for Skyrim includes many performance-enhancing updates for the PlayStation 3. A few important things to note:

1. To ensure the fastest jump in performance after applying the patch, be sure to first create a new manual save by entering the save menu and choosing “save game.” You should then restart your PlayStation 3 before continuing to play.

2. If you encounter strange behavior while playing immediately following application of the patch, do not be alarmed – this is a temporary effect of Skyrim scripts correcting themselves after the update. Once this process runs its course, be sure to make a new save and restart your PlayStation 3.

3 more trophies until I Platinum the game.

Have 100,000 gold
Acquire all the Daedric artifacts
Find all the Standing Stones

Just finished the "return the thieves guild to it's former glory" trophy. Really hard to know what to even do to acquire it.

found this on the UESP website

After going through the well and dropping into the main chamber, Karliah may not show up at all, show up and leave promptly, or show up late. It may help to wait a few hours before dropping into the well in order to have Karliah show up. Karliah needs to be present for the whole conversation with Nocturnal, so ensure you save the game prior to dropping into the well and load up each time until it works properly. As the conversation ends, she may try to leave, so ensure that you are next to her and ready to speak as soon as Nocturnal goes away and your quest updates to "Speak with Karliah". If the quest doesn't update after Nocturnal tells you to drink from the Ebonmere, simply wait a few hours and the quest should update.

Just had the most hectic and stressful fight of my life. Doing Molag Bal's Daedric quest and I had to fast travel to a location to get somewhere else, and the moment I got to the place I fast traveled to (a fort that I had already cleared out), an Elder Dragon spawns right in front of me. I have 2 Ancient Nord Arrows on me and that's it. So I start to run down the hill we're on and I see a river. Luckily I'm an Argonian so I can breathe underwater. So I swim down this river as this Elder Dragon chases me, spitting fire at me the whole way. I finally come up to this old fort with Skeleton and Necromancers outside of it, and luckily the Skeletons are archers so as the Elder Dragon destroys every single one of them (about 12 Skeletons and Necromacers), I pick up all the arrows they drop. Once I got my ammunition stockpiled I start to fire at him, then my Nightengale Bow runs out its enchantment and I have no soul gems to replenish it. Taking on one of the hardest dragons in the game, with an un-enchanted bow and probably the 3rd weakest arrow in the game is not an ideal situation. After some hiding behind the walls of this fort, I play peek-a-boo with him for about 10 minutes before I finally bring him down.

I think for shit like this they should reward you with a little more than 350 gold, 1 dragon soul and some dragon bones and scales.

I think it'll be a while before we get some DLC, because I think it's going to be huge, so it'll take a while to finish.

It's nice though that bounty quests never end and you can get them all the time. It just gets a little old going to a cave and killing a bandit leader.

Eventually I'm going to play through with each race to see which one is best for my style. Made it through with Nord (three times), Bosmer, Altmer, Argonian and Dunmer so far. I have never play with a Breton before in any game, so that might be my next choice.
