There has now been ample evidence and plenty of reason to believe that Hot Honey Chicken Wings have been a staple on their menu for decades upon decades.

So obviously the only acceptable form of evidence is if we get a photo from the 1970's of @Angry Boomer at Army and Lou's holding up the menu pointing to the honey hot chicken wings with him also holding a newspaper to show the date

Spare ribs cut into St. Louis style (tips reserved, duh) and cooked over direct heat. Some people will say it needs to be done in an aquarium smoker.

When I first moved to Austin I went to get barbecue at a black-owned place. I walked in, got to the counter, looked at the board and didn't see rib tips. So I asked them, 'you got any rib tips?' The lady looked at me with a mildly annoyed look and said "Are you from Chicago?"

Rib tips are, to me, a quintessential aspect of Chicago barbecue, as are hot links. But you don't find those anywhere in the south that I've been. Most places in Texas serve the whole spare rib as one piece.

Yeah it always came off as more of a trashy Jersey Italian thing to me. Never heard actual Italians even use the word gravy...especially when making a sauce.
