Why reply then? This thread is not a prediction on if he would sign here, so this type of discussion is off topic. The topic is of HC candidates is Ben Johnson the best.

I think he is 🤷🏻‍♂️
I wipe a monkey’s ass with what you think. But I hear you… or smell you….

Sir I only posted the Nagy thing because it was funny given the title of obvious HC hire. It was a joke about Nagy not Ben Johnson.

I’m really not sold on him at all. I give him credit for unlocking Goff and he’s clearly a good play caller but is he elite? I’m not sure.

I really think we need a culture change. We aren’t losing just because of offensive production. We’re losing because we expect to lose.

We aren’t playing up to our potential.

Give me Vrabel - it’s the best coaching arbitrage you can get since Andy Reid.
Did he unlock Goff? Goff took the Rams to a super bowl.

I hope it ain't Kingsbury. History has shown that he always starts out hot and then turns to shit. It's happening with the Commanders now, too.
I think Jaden Daniels has also hit the rookie wall just a bit to though so would be hard to put all on Kingsbury and it's not like they have some great OL and group of offensive weapons besides McClaurin and B.Robinson and Ekeler still has some left in the tank.

If Campbell had to take a break from being HC like Pagano, would Ben Johnson be the interim coach or someone else on the Lions coaching staff?

The NFC north has lafleur coaching guys like Malik Willis to multiple wins, oconnell making darnold look like a fringe MVP prospect, Campbell is inevitably losing Ben Johnson a 38 year old coaching one of the best offenses in the NFL, and you meatballs are hoping for vrabel?

Let me guess, you guys also wanted Jamal Adams to be selected 4th overall.

It would be moronic to go the vrabel route if you are looking for long term success.

Nagy didn’t have nearly the experience of Ben Johnson, and we all know Reid runs the show there. Chiefs also have goat QB in mahomes.

The lions have completely changed goffs career, fckn Mcvay quit on this guy.
Quit on him for Stafford and won a super bowl.

Hahaha

He was able to get Tannehill to the playoffs. I looks like a leader of men and an attitude to make George nervous. Let’s get him.
I don't think he's necessarily bad but i really just want an offensive minded coach to come in and make us relevant. A good DC to run the defense would be nice but we used the number on pick on caleb for a reason to build the team around the offense. I always thought keeping Eberflus was a bad decision after that idk.

Matt Nagy ran similar trick plays in KC before being hired by the bears. Remember how those trick plays worked out in Chicago?

I'm cautious of any OC who gets to work with the best offense in football. Thomas Brown, on the other hand, has turned around and anemic offense that went roughly 30 drives without a TD and has Mike Tomlin vibes.
Hey @TezMaKai, Someone is on here posting about actual football, i think your account has been hacked.

You know skinny Fred Drust aka Lefluer was Vrabels OC? Why can’t he find a good Oc?

Who the hell was BJ before Campbell hired him?
This^^

Obviously we can chip in and again buy Gruden a fruit basket to have him come, just in case everyone else turns down the job. Just make sure Brown stays, wouldn't want to break up this explosive offense.

Let’s hear your prediction then. Is Ben Johnson going to be Matt Nagy esque? Put it down now so I can bookmark and laugh at you when you’re inevitably wrong like you always are.
He's just going to tell you "i said they would win, that doesn't mean they would win a Super Bowl." See what i did there? Tell me i'm not funny you bastard.

Honestly, I want the Bears to hire Ben Johnson as HC and Robert Saleh as DC
Dennis Allen would also be a great DC hire. I'm sure he's not going to turn that interim HC gig with NO into the full time gig.

Him or Aaron Glenn.

Lance Briggs on CHGO making some interesting cases expressing concern over Ben Johnson as well. He is not saying don't do it, but he is definitely pumping the brakes on Ben Johnson that he may be the analytical game to Dan Campbell's old school mindset.

You need both. You need the mindset of a strong leader that really establishes a team culture and playing tough while being aware of the analytics but is not blindly held to them.

At this point, the starting point is just seeing if the Bears will interview a group that makes sense.

Another person to consider that I have not heard much is Drew Petzing. He has the breadth of coaching you want to see in that he has coached more than just QB's. Hard to tell how good he is with what they have in Arizone these past couple of years. You'd also like it if he has more experience at OC, but so many of the HC candidates with the OC background are young right now and only have been OC's for a couple of years.
