Interesting stuff.... you guys think the Hawks will sell Sharp?

I wonder who they would replace him with, and not just on a top line but he is a core player who can do just about everything on both ends of the ice (cept hit the fucking net in the playoffs lol)

Hawks have shown they can persist as long as they keep a solid core and IMO Sharp and Hossa are both part of that core, if they sell Sharp and Hossa is gone in the next few years to retirement, we better have plans in motion to replace those core pieces.

Jackel is a guy that throws shit against the wall to see if it sticks...

that said I'm not surprised with Keith and Toews playing with injuries.

I like his closer "As I hear it". Ok, hear from who? Your next door neighbor, your wife, the garbage collector.....he might want to show a little credibility before running his yap.

He was in Chicago during the conference finals and there were talks between both parties. Nothing signed though.

Bickell was outta shape

Way to go Bick.

Get handed a stupid contract & admit to being outta shape almost two weeks after being eliminated.

One of the bad things about this is that he's 28. So he's not young and stupid. 2013 was the first year he ever did anything noteworthy--he was 27...his career had almost past him by. You'd like to think someone like that would put more of himself into it knowing how close he came to having nothing to show for his years of playing hockey.

As long as Q doesn't **** him over, Tuevo's the 2C next year unless Stan decides to part with Sharp and/or Seabrook and a draft pick for Kessler.

Doubtful that they're looking for senior citizens like Sharp or Seabs....Vancouver is in full rebuild mode. I'm guessing they're looking young like Leddy or perhaps even Teuvo along with a pick or two.

My offseason plan (combination of my actual opinion and realistic submission to Q's input, regarding Bollig, Versteeg and Seabrook especially):

Trade Oduya + Sharp (I know I love Sharp too) for prospects and picks.

Trade Prospects and picks for Kesler

Re-signs are set above what I actually expect to be conservative... I also have 15 fwds and 8 D on the roster (obviously impossible) to be conservative cap-wise.

I also expect Raanta to be in the A with a vet goalie signed around 1.4 mil, but you get the point.

Sharp nor Oduya will be getting traded, imo. Both are much too valuable to a team that took the Cup champs to a game seven and lost on a fluke bounce. The Hawks only need health and a tweek or two. Will TT be the answer? Who knows, but if it puts Kaner back with Toews, after the progress Kane took in the last few games, ill take it.

I would bet a great deal of money that Oduya will be traded. Personally I would rather trade Seabs from a $/value standpoint. Sharp is a bit of a stretch, but if it gets us Kesler indirectly I'm all for it.

I just don't trust Q to play TT on the 2nd line, and I'm afraid his only chance to not get the Pirri/Morin treatment is to give him a chance on the 3rd line.
