Honestly, it would take Stan something unreasonable to trade him. Oduya is a proven warrior, stupid bone headed passes not withstanding. They guy has played against the other teams top lines for two years now and the Hawks record since getting him is ridiculous. He has brought such stability to the hawks blue line you saw Keith become the best defenseman in the league again and the development of Nick Leddy from a figure skater into a defenseman. Was it all Oduya? Of course not, but being part of a second pairing that could be a top pair on more then half the teams in the NHL sure helps. Oduya is very under rated. I would surely think other GM's would be ringing the phone if he was availible, tho.I would bet a great deal of money that Oduya will be traded.
Kesler is addition by subtraction. I would want Kes to play with Sharp. Sharp also played center during the playoffs against the Kings on more then one shift. A Sharp/Kesler/Hossa line is scary, and the good thing would be that the Nucks wouldnt want Sharp anyway and more likely TT as the center piece.Personally I would rather trade Seabs from a $/value standpoint. Sharp is a bit of a stretch, but if it gets us Kesler indirectly I'm all for it.
Agreed.I just don't trust Q to play TT on the 2nd line, and I'm afraid his only chance to not get the Pirri/Morin treatment is to give him a chance on the 3rd line.
TT was extremely timid and was more worried about defensive positioning in his brief call up from what i saw. The good thing is, he was actually out there trying in his own zone while Pirri was in the offensive zone when the other team had the puck. I was a Pirri fan, but he wasnt gonna do anything on a Q coached team unless they went all Oilers run and gun. Wasnt gonna happen. Morin, not a fan. I see a future construction worker when i watch him skate.
Great points tho, all of them.
