T-Mac has actually always played well in the playoffs. His teams simply didn't play good enough.

Career playoff stats for T-Mac:
28.5 PPG. 7 RPG. 6.2 APG. 1.3 SPG. 1 BPG. 43% FG%

That's FAR from bad. His first round exits were not his fault. He has been excellent. The numbers he's been putting up are better than Kobe's. I don't expect him to continue to do that, but he obviously tried hard in the past.

He has put up really nice numbers in the first round and has lead the league in scoring, but that is hardly anything to brag about. Especially when you're that player and still can't make it out of the first round. The guy I was responding to was making it seem like McGrady was this really experienced player in the play-offs. The statement, "He has been up there where everyone wants to be. He's gonna be a tough matchup coming off of the bench for anybody's tired first unit or their second units" couldn't be further from the truth. Derrick Rose has been as far as T-Mac has in the play-offs, Noah has, and Luol Deng has. He hasn't been anywhere(regardless of the teams he had), just some really nice individual numbers.

I do have to give it to McGrady before he got injured, he was a great player. For some reason he just couldn't lead his teams out of the first round in the West on teams that should have.

Come on guys! Eddie House and Roger Mason won't make a big difference. What we need is T-Mac or Delonte West [Ben Gordon clone]

I agree, however this all changes, if he can sincerely accept a bench role.

So West is a turnover machine ballhog who can't play defense and is a streaky shooter?

After hearing the self-promoting comments of McGrady, I really don't have any use for him here and I hope the Bulls feel the same way.

You've gotta be kidding me.....Delonte West??

Dude's a wannabe convict & has a mental disorder. He helped LeBroom Shames™ leave Cleveland. I hope West never plays in the league again. He's a joke & his talent is pretty much overrated.

T-Mac on the other hand.....I'd like him on the team. He didn't impress the FO enough to be a reliable back-up. That's too bad also....since he would be a good talent to have. :D

Actually Deng has been further than T-Mac in the playoffs.

Kinda makes you chuckle a bit when you look at the numbers, right? To be fair to McGrady, the West is a different monster.

Yeah but that ignores the fact that McGrady failed 4 times to make it past the 1st Round in the Eastern Conference when he was with the Raptors(once) and Magic(three times).

And with the Magic they were up 3-1 on the Detroit Pistons once and blew the series.

T Mac even in his best days where he was 25+ PPG scorer could NEVER carry a team in the playoffs

that's not true. He was only favored once to win a 1st round series. He never had the teammates to carry a team anywhere far in the Playoffs.
