Don't wanna get rid of D-Lee...until he retires. Same way I was with Kerry Wood. Also, next year if we get rid of more players, I believe Josh Vitters will be cut off from his development.

If Oswalt approves, then we can forget about Happ, and Philadelphia will have an extra ace.

This is what bothers me about a lot of fans..

It's the whole..

"He used to be good, so lets see if he comes back next year."

type of mentality. There's a reason why teams are successful. They know when to move on from players that are past their prime.

As for D. Lee.. I have never forgiven him for beating us in 2003. I won't until the Cubs pass that point.

Wow man, he was on the team that beat us and hit a double, and you hate him for it.

I don't hate the guy.

I just haven't forgiven him for 2003.

He did beat us. The closest we've gotten since the 80's to getting a pennant.

This is not a rumor, it's my opinion. I think the Rangers will have interest in Theriot as they are in the market for a 2B, with Kinsler going back on the DL. Maybe Nady and Theriot to the Rangers for spects. I can hope, right?

Dammit! The most agressive team after Theriot is probably out now after the Padres acquired Tejada from the O's.

Is anyone else worried that Jim isn't going to trade anyone? Seems to me he is screwing the franchise by not trading players and loading up on young talent. If Hendry or Lee are back in 2011 I don't know wtf I'm going to do?!

Hendry will be back according to Tom Ricketts. Right now, I say Lilly will go the Dodgers and that's it, but that can change.

Welcome to the site!

I have been saying this for over a month now. I'm just not convinced Hendry doesn't have his head up his ass. There are several players that I'd personally like to get rid of (Nady, Theriot, Kosuke, etc.), but I just don't think Hendry is taking any trade offers seriously enough to make anything of them. I think it's a very real possibility that not a single trade is made this year and Hendry comes back next year to ruin whatever next year could potentially be.

I think Theriot, Nady, Lilly and Baker could be traded if JH really wanted to get rid of them.

Lilly: Good spects.
Theriot: 2 mid level spects.
Fontenot: 1 low level spect.
Nady: 1 low level spect.

Rickett's seems to be a smarter man than to keep Hendry around. Any GM in Hendry's position would unload any player he could for a reasonable deal. Certain players could get some decent prospects and the farm system could be loaded up a bit. I was wishing for a bunch of trades to load up on young guys because that is what the Padres are going to want for Gonzalez this up coming off season. This roster could be in so much better position if Hendry would do his job and players would accept the trade. I know Lee is a good guy but come on!

Thanks for the welcomes to the board! Cub fans can be such great people, only thing better than a Cub fan is an Iowa Hawkeye fan. ;) lol

I won't be as mad if we can't trade Lilly as long as he turns down arbitration so we can get extra draft picks, but it's not sure if he'll be Type A or not.
