He's got a worse win % than waldron as oc and worse win % than fluberbus

Sounds like George's kind of guy
Do you think being dumb reflects well on you? Thomas Brown isnt responsible for the D or STs choking.

He scored 19 in game 1

Had 16 in game 2 with 100 seconds left

Got lucky with a big kick return, 4th down conversion, td with 20 seconds left a 2pt conversion, an onsides kick, a 30 yard pass and then a fg

While it looks better its not like he's rolling thru defenses and putting up 30+ per.game

He shouldn't be in consideration for the next HC esp since this org didn't even deem him OC worthy 10 months ago

Let's say Caleb looks good to close out the Coordinator Brown's play calling looks legit.

Would be the most Bears move ever for Bears to fire Flus and just make Brown Head Coach for the sake of continuity and Caleb having a 2nd year in the offense.
The Browns did something very similar in 2018 and 2019 when they promoted Freddy Kitchens (apt surname for that corpulent fellow) to Offensive Coordinator, then Head Coach because Baker Mayfield vouched for him. That worked out so well for them.

Allen also stepped out which cost us potentially 7 points and then instead of getting 3, Santos had a kick blocked so 3-7 points lost. Flus went for it instead of kicking another kick under 50 and Allen dropped the ball. Another 3 to 7 points. Then Kmet Kmet dropped an easy catch on 3rd down and we punted from like our 45 instead of getting another set of downs. So that is 9-21 points missed that had nothing to Brown.

Great

Only meatballs think he's currently qualified to be the next HC

They should clean house entirely as he'd probably keep some of this awful staff

No one said he is currently qualified. I said 2 good games down and 6 more to go.

I don't think he is ready to be HC yet. Maybe get him a OC position with experienced HC that is able to step in when needed, and see how he performs long term.

If they'd have hired him as OC 10 months ago......maybe things would be different.

It's just gonna be #bearsing for them to promote a "players guy" who's an actual unknown as a HC (with only about 10 games experience calling plays). Who's his staff? Who are his connections? Player recommended promotions usually don't work out.....esp coming off a 4-6 ish win season (see Raiders this year)

Or

It would be totally #bearsing for them to force brown on a new hc as the oc.

I have really low expectations for the next hiring process......and pretty sure those expectations will be met.

Andy Reid never called plays before becoming a HC. Think he is pretty good.

Let's be honest. Most expected us to get shit stomped by the Pack and Vikings. Whether you want him as a HC is irrelevant. He has earned his flowers so far. No point trying to discredit what he has accomplished.

Such a poor take. Have you been watching the games?

So foolish that you think he’d come in midseason after firing the OC and magically run an offense that scores 30+ every game when the offense could barely score a touchdown previously.

I actually do agree with this. The Bears have found themselves between a rock and a hard place.

That said, they’ll probably keep Flus and then obviously can keep Brown.

He’s doing great. They should give him the job now and see what he does with it. Flush Flus already. He’s a deadman walking.

I'm now on board with this. Flus is like a dead weight holding the team back.

He's probably the only coach of a top 10 defense that can't get a stop when it counts.

Dump Flus and let Brown pilot the rest of the season.

Haha

7 years with the Packers in the 90's with a ton of success and 2 super bowls (and holmgren calling plays as HC) vs brown

not a very apt comparison.
