Here’s a crazy but true item, Thomas Brown and Sean McVay are both 38. The Rams hired McVay when he was 30 years old. That was a huge gamble.

Unfortunately, Unlike the bears the rams seem to know what they have been doing the last few decades.

They held onto Jeff Fisher for 5 years despite zero 8+ win seasons. Before that they had Spags who had a 1 win season and a 2 win season. The dude before that went .500 then 3-13.

They were a joke before McVey.

Look at the Lions disfunction for years until they got the right GM and coach together. Sometimes ownership gets lucky too.

Rams have been to 5 Superbowls in their existence and the Bears are at stuck at 2 for the last 18years.

typical BS response from the CCS master of BS

Not my fault you're too stupid to realize thats a list compiled by the NFL players association.

So clearly detroit and the rest of the nfl players didnt think ben johnsons farts smelled like flowers like your old ass in 2023.

I dont personally agree with it but clearly the players did

Velus is proof that listening to players is never a great idea

How does that even make sense? The only reason velus had a chance was because of a bad GM and a bad coach

The NFL PA list is compiled by a survey of all NFL players.

They do it for a bunch of shit, including coaches, facilities, and other players. Its not always correct but its based on player opinions, which matter a lot more than your or me.

Poles took Fields advice on that pick, and said as much publicly

So a team can suck and hire bad coaches, and then be smart and get better??????

Crazy!!!!

Ben Johnson not being on that list is laughable

Bears players are to busy cashing checks and vacationing in Tahiti.

Feel free to ask the Lions players why they don't have Johnson ranked higher especially when Aaron Glenn was voted the No 1 DC and the Lions ST coach was voted 4th.

Also, the vote was last season when Brown was still with Panthers so nothing to do with Bears.

Could be Johnson is just a beta so the players don't really view him as leadership material. I mean he doesn't scream confident when he has all these stipulations to being a HC because he is worried about failure.

Then again could just be the Lions players are dumbfucks which there is ample evidence of that as well.

This is what happened.

The thing is almost everyone wants flus gone. Waldron got let go, Thomas took his spot, heard him talk, and thought he was coach material because his talk compared to Eberflus, was night and day for a coach.

He called a better game than Waldron and did decent for his first game as a Bears play caller.

How he spoke after the loss, people loved h his words.

So the “fire Flus and promote Thomas to HC” talk was more of hope, than it is “who is actually HC material”. It’s more that people would rather let Thomas, due to how he handles himself and talks, be the HC and risk it with him to get better results than Eberflus, as a HC. All this due to most being tired off Flus as our HC.

Then people starting running with it. Saying Thomas is HC material, the next Tomlin, etc.

I’m not saying he’s not, but let’s not get carried away now. Let this dude do his job for the rest of the season. Let’s see if he handles himself the same way for the rest of the year. Let’s see if his play calling gets better and what he does with Caleb. Then, then we will see if he gets an interview from us or anyone else.

I will say that I do like how he carries himself as a person. How he talks, and how he tries to make shit work as an OC. He sounds like he knows his players, has a plan how to execute with the players he has and their abilities, and create a plan of attack. With the little film we have on him as an OC play caller, I can’t say he has the chance to be a great play caller. I need more time and footage to make that call.
