Is it hard to get a script when you don't have insurance?

Yeah, if you don't have insurance, you are forbidden from receiving medical assistance. That is why so many people become Scientologists.

It has also shown to have created a surplus for the states that have legalized it....to the point where it has funded education and have even provided refunds back to the residents of that state. And where is the info you are getting about it being more expensive from a local store vs from "their guy"? Personally, even if it were more expensive, I would pay that premium to not only get it from a legit source but to also legally purchase it to contribute to the state economy. Buying weed from "my guy" means I do not know where they got the weed from or the quality I am buying...I would much rather buy from a regulated shop, than some guy who is probably selling that has had 1 or 2 other middle men before they received it.
No taxes from the local.

As for quality, yes, a regulated store would ensure that, but if you have a guy I am guessing it's the same stuff time and time again.

Gus asked for a thread, so here it is.

Illinois over the last week/weekend passed among other things legalized weed and sports gambling minus Illinois collegiate games.

What are your thoughts on it?

For me on weed I think it won't help the state out. It's been shown that those states have an increase in automobile accidents. Also not sure why people that are buying this from "their guy" would stop and pay more to get it at a legalized government controlled store.

As for sports gambling, I don't have an issue with it. The state already allows casino gambling, I don't understand a case against it.
I'll bite.

It will 100% help the state out, and there is no IF or MAY about it.

People do not get the variety, or quality, that a medical shop would provide to them. It is also cheaper for much better weed, unless you have some great hookup.

There are medical benefits to people whether people want to admit it or not, that aren't able to obtain an RX.

Gambling ruins lives every day, but to each their own, just like their weed consumption.

In the end, they're both just $$$ to the state. That's all it's about.

I'm glad both passed. My only issue with weed legalization was the ability to test for it etc in DUI situations. From my understanding talking with police officers in the state(and Colorado) there are provisions for that so I'm all for it.

Also, while there was in an initial increase in accidents the rates went back to normal. In some cases the drivers were on multiple drugs along with marijuana etc A good smattering of articles on the topic. The research right now is a little all over the map.

Legalized sports betting was idiotic that it took this long to get passed. It not being legal was some odd relic of the pre-internet age.

At my local pharmacy, all I have to do is flash my Blue Cross card and they let me in so I can take whatever drugs I want/need.

Serious question, does Brett not have health insurance? He asked a very odd question.

Why?

I had a guy get me fireworks that were of a much more serious nature than just firecarckers and it was the same quality over and over again thru the years. Weed wouldn't work that way?
Yes weed does work that way. Either a Chinese factory or a Russian factory is usually the source, if you light it, it burns. Just like fireworks. That guy is just being silly.

No. Weed wouldn't/doesn't work that way.

Literally laughing at you comparing fireworks to weed.

Maybe it was a mistake to ask you initially.

No. I've had "that guy" and I was "that guy" for many years. Every batch is different. It comes from different people. From all over the world. There are different types of weed... thousands... On top of that it depends on how it's grown, cured, etc. There are thousands of different factors that go into every crop of weed.

You may get some similar stuff here and there, but it is never the same.

Lol at thousands of factors. It's literally as simple as filling cardboard containers with gunpowder and sparkly stuff.

If it's supposed to bring in so much revenue to the state, what's the justification for doubling the gas tax too.

Because your overlords require more. Illinois is one of the worst examples of democracy run amok
