Gus asked for a thread, so here it is.
Illinois over the last week/weekend passed among other things legalized weed and sports gambling minus Illinois collegiate games.
What are your thoughts on it?
For me on weed I think it won't help the state out. It's been shown that those states have an increase in automobile accidents. Also not sure why people that are buying this from "their guy" would stop and pay more to get it at a legalized government controlled store.
As for sports gambling, I don't have an issue with it. The state already allows casino gambling, I don't understand a case against it.
I'll bite.
It will 100% help the state out, and there is no IF or MAY about it.
People do not get the variety, or quality, that a medical shop would provide to them. It is also cheaper for much better weed, unless you have some great hookup.
There are medical benefits to people whether people want to admit it or not, that aren't able to obtain an RX.
Gambling ruins lives every day, but to each their own, just like their weed consumption.
In the end, they're both just $$$ to the state. That's all it's about.
