Because your overlords require more. Illinois is one of the worst examples of democracy run amok

Morons raided the pension funds.... we're gonna have to fill that gap somehow.

Honestly, between pot being legal and illegal here...nothing has really changed. The drivers here are the shittiest of the shitty just like they've always been.

...except maybe a few entrepreneurial businesses, like one called "Tacos & More!" moving location to right next to a dispensary is doing quite well for itself. The only snag in it is that (a) it's still illegal on the federal level so for now any companies that do business on that level still check their employees and there's not any system I know of in use that determines when someone is impaired by THC and what level delineates impaired vs. not impaired like the brethalyzer/0.08% limit for alcohol. IMHO that is a sticking point that's going to be a legal headache.

No. I've had "that guy" and I was "that guy" for many years. Every batch is different. It comes from different people. From all over the world. There are different types of weed... thousands... On top of that it depends on how it's grown, cured, etc. There are thousands of different factors that go into every crop of weed.

You may get some similar stuff here and there, but it is never the same.
Will it be the same if it's regulated or it there just too many varieties and variables?

So, you have different strains, and they can be manipulated. Cross-bred. New strains can be made.

Depending on lighting, nutrients, etc, you can completely change the plant dynamics.

It will never be the same. Every plant has different psychoactive properties as well depending on what type of cannabis it is, and different THC levels (which again are open to manipulation and other factors).

You're not really regulating much. It's like alcohol. Some have 10% ABV up to 100% moonshine and everything in-between. You have citris vodka, cake batter vodka, etc etc etc etc.

Much like Bear_804. every strain is different. If you are buying a concentrate or vape cartridge or an edible that is, for instance, Lemon Haze, if you buy from the same place the experience should be consistent. But there are hundreds, maybe thousands, of strains so it is evolving. When you buy the product they have a information sheet/sticker, almost like a prescription, that tells you how much THC and CBD is in the product. So you have an idea of the potency.

Also not sure why people that are buying this from "their guy" would stop and pay more to get it at a legalized government controlled store.

:jonesy:

This is, by far, the best comment I've ever read against legal weed. It's like thinking prohibition being lifted wouldn't stop people from drinking bathtub rum. That doesn't even get into the fact that it was cheaper in a Colorado dispensary than getting it off "my guy."

Or like thinking *** marriage would stop people from being ***.

Don't really care either way about weed, won't affect me.

Love the legalized gambling.

If Illinois does it right, they're going to be out of their debt problem. I expect them to 100% **** it up.

I guess I don't really get it. I mean my beefsteak tomatoes are the same year in and year out. I would think someone else growing it would be as well. But then again, I have no idea exactly how the illegal weed is made, distributed, etc.

I remember going to two different restaurants. I was shocked that the food tasted differently in each place.

I worry about what you said in your last point as well. I would hope that most players and coaches these days are paid well enough to the point where they wouldn't be stupid enough to risk their careers and freedom for some extra cash..... but who knows. They risk their careers all the time for doing other types of stupid shit.

I can picture a left tackle drafted in the 3rd round playing on his rookie contract getting offered a chunk of cash to have a shitty game blocking which could impact the outcome.

I'd be more worried about the refs.

This is hilarious, @brett05 has said multiple times that he has little to no knowledge about weed nor has used weed but somehow is trying to speak as if he has any experience with the drug. That's like me trying to tell a brain surgeon how to do their job.

I think it's high time we legalizing recreational sports and weed gambling.

Edited to add:

I misread the title, correction, I am against weaponizing recreational sports and weed gambling.

Another edit, sorry I botched it again:

I am against weaponizing sports weed and all for legalizing recreational gambling.

Phew!

You need to read better if that's what you think.
