why would I do that? I'm going. But, if like upstairs, I could double and maybe triple my money, I'd probably do it.
in 1983 the Stadium was sold out for for the first 15 games of the 24 home games. I'm having a hard time finding articles. There were MANY games sold where the lines were AROUND the building to buy what box office tickets were available.
yes the Hype was at several times back then, just like it is now. Do some googling.
Dec 28th they had over 20,000 people in the Stadium watching a game, where the seating was as you know. LOL!
OK.... Now is nothing like that.

That first year with Tessier might have been my favorite Hawks team ever.
Steve Larmer's rookie year, I believe.
15 sellouts out of 24.
63% of their games had sold out.
Team is still more popular now, as 100% games are sold out.
I guess then was sometimes like now.
The food suck, the pricing suck, and it's just generic. You know the 8$ slice of frozen fucking pizza!
I remember many games going down there with Buddy and having the box office turn us away. I also remember many playoff games where unless you paid out the ass, you were not going. You crack me up, Mr. Historian. LOL!
From 1984 on, my dad would take me to 1-2 games a year as a kid, and I remember sitting behind more posts (obstucted view) and SRO as opposed to getting even decent seats at the Stadium, so as far as I remember, tix were always hard to get back then.
Speaking of the Bulls in the 70s, my dad likes to tell me about this game he was at:

Unless your name was PuckJim! HEHE A lot of nights I'd listen to the radio because no tickets, unless expensive for the time, were available.
For 2 sandwiches and 2 beers at the Carvery last week we paid $55. We try to eat ahead of time somewhere else but sometimes you are tied down with other things and running late and then we end up eating there. Stupid mistake on my part.
