why would I do that? I'm going. But, if like upstairs, I could double and maybe triple my money, I'd probably do it.

in 1983 the Stadium was sold out for for the first 15 games of the 24 home games. I'm having a hard time finding articles. There were MANY games sold where the lines were AROUND the building to buy what box office tickets were available.

yes the Hype was at several times back then, just like it is now. Do some googling.

Dec 28th they had over 20,000 people in the Stadium watching a game, where the seating was as you know. LOL!

OK.... Now is nothing like that.

That first year with Tessier might have been my favorite Hawks team ever.

Steve Larmer's rookie year, I believe.

15 sellouts out of 24.

63% of their games had sold out.

Team is still more popular now, as 100% games are sold out.

I guess then was sometimes like now.

Just think in 3 years what the prices will be. Gray seats for $55 I'm thinking. Orange for $75 and green for $100. I've done some checking on other team sites and I don't see other teams in their 300 level having the pricing the hawks do. Not sure what I'm missing but it seems everywhere else the upper most level are your cheap seats. Not here. I would do 200 level but I still can't come to grips with the $1000 fee per seat.

Nope pounder they are now in the top ten and top 5 in some sections. Although your current seats, if you are in the 100 level premium now, only went up 7 per seat, those are now just under 150, per game with discount.

Now if you go to sell those on click tix, the Teams "exclusive" ticket site, the minimum you can sell them for a premium game is 249 per seat, so they make their profit back from you, in the "discount" you get for being a STH. Isn't that awesome!

Just because they can justify it by demand doesn't make it right. Especially for those few fans like many here, that have had ST's for more than a decade. Zero loyalty for some of their most loyal fans.

And we had 100 and 200 level seats in 98-99-00 and the 1000$ fee was there then as well. It was for Parking, the Waiter service and Stadium Club, which is not the very exclusive (not) Lexus Club.

Just like it sucks in the Locker room Club now. Back in the day it was awesome.

I used to ***** about Bismark, but wow do I miss them now. Levy sucks ass. They are horrible. The food suck, the pricing suck, and it's just generic. You know the 8$ slice of frozen fucking pizza!

Precisely why when I go to hockey games, I usually eat either before or after the game.

I remember many times in the 80's where all I could get was standing room only. Feet sticking to the beer on the floor, beating on the tin/metal walls, fights galore, full beers flying...... Ahhh the memories.

Playoff tickets are $105 for 300 level. That's 1/6 of what season tickets cost 5 years ago.

I remember many games going down there with Buddy and having the box office turn us away. I also remember many playoff games where unless you paid out the ass, you were not going. You crack me up, Mr. Historian. LOL!

From 1984 on, my dad would take me to 1-2 games a year as a kid, and I remember sitting behind more posts (obstucted view) and SRO as opposed to getting even decent seats at the Stadium, so as far as I remember, tix were always hard to get back then.

Unless your name was PuckJim! HEHE A lot of nights I'd listen to the radio because no tickets, unless expensive for the time, were available.

The thing is the Blackhawks' policy was to only sell tickets six games in advance. I would go down after the first period and buy tickets for the the next available game. Never had an issue.

Season tickets were easy to come by. Different era, for sure.

I agree the food quality has gone downhill. I really liked it when they had Connie's pizza. It used to have a 1/2 inch of cheese on it and that was great. But then the next season I noticed the cheese was not as thick and the slice was just a little smaller. But now they went back to DiJornos which is the same pizza you can buy at your local Jewel. Last year I tried the 'Madhouse Burger' and it was $10.75 - I thought it would be a great double burger and for almost $11 great quality. Wow was I wrong - it was a burger with a hot dog sliced in half and put on top of it - never had that before. And the burger meat was of the lowest grade quality. Never did that again. I was surprised to see it still on the menu but they did drop the price to $9.75 now. Other than the Bud Weiser carvery there isn't much good there to eat anymore.

And that sandwich you buy at the Carvery, you could get 2lbs of the best roast beef Jewel has, some Keisers and make 4 of them at the same price.

Levey does many venues across the country, and in Chicago Sox Park, Wrigley and I believe Soldier Field. Bismark was owned out right by Peter so no surprise it was sold off and look what we are left with. Another fucked up decision caused by the new "organization".

Oh and the frozen pizza, well, sucks shit.

The bar food in the Stadium Club really did start sucking when Levy took over. Some of the various food stands in the Club Level had a wide array of fresh toppings to make a chicago style dog. Now they have onion and relish packets MMMmmm

For 2 sandwiches and 2 beers at the Carvery last week we paid $55. We try to eat ahead of time somewhere else but sometimes you are tied down with other things and running late and then we end up eating there. Stupid mistake on my part.
