A pop up pile driver?

That would be fucking insain!!

Now im trying to think of someone who could pull that off NOT named AJ Styles who would kill people.

Vince would have 7 heart attacks the first time someone tried to pull it off.

Yeah they are to blame for last nights game. They both missed wide ope nets which cost us the game and the series lead. They both score and it's a whole different game. That's great that Teuvo had two good games down in Tampa but that was then, this is now.

You seem to take this stuff personally.

These two should be benched. We can't afford to ice players who single-handedly lose games.

I never said they should be benched, I'm simply calling them out for their fuckups.

Yeah, they both missed open nets (one while being tripped), but you pinned the loss on them, which isn't fair. There was a lot of blame to go around, and a lot of credit to Tampa.

And I mentioned that in the first post of the thread. However, a majority of the blame falls on the 7 names that I put as the title of this thread, especially Hossa and Teuvo who missed wide open nets.

Seriously, stop trolling tribar. You really want to run out one of the board's best posters?

This is what the super serious mods are advising against.

Will do!

Thanks!

I think the Hawks lost last night because of the intangibles.

I'm not butthurt, just telling it as it is. I'm thinking your the one who is not thinking clearly.

Telling it like it is? Because Hossa was literally superman in the area and didn't bury the puck? The fact that he even came remotely close is impressive.

I could literally nitpick the entire game with your asinine logic.

Maybe if Kruger and Vermette didn't lose any of their faceoffs in the offensive zone we might have been up 34-2.

Maybe if Seabrook blocked Hedmans spectacular pass we would of still been tied.

No this loss was on poor defensive zone coverage. The 2nd goal nobody tied anyone up in front and Crawford had poor technique and positioning. 3rd goal Sharp didn't bother back checking through the crease and Cumiskey and a soft gap. Crawford being down in his butter fly for no reason didn't help things either.

But yeah let's add Hossa who was taken down mid shot and barely misses the net, and Teuvo who is trying to get a quick shot on net and Bishop basically getting his sleeve on the puck on the list of Hawk skaters who the loss falls on. Fucking brilliant!

Wouldn't blame the loss on those two but Hossa...
he missed the net. I'm not impressed that he almost hit the net.. even if he was falling.
How can you not adjust your shot as you are falling if you know where the net is? Wide Open Fucking Net... if he made it then that would be impressive. As of now he just some guy that was falling and didn't make it. Sorry can't be impressed by that. But that's history. Tomorrow is a new day. Moving on.

Where? Don't see it.

It was more than three posts ago, but...

Management has drafted a bunch of clones. We need our 2C and 3C next year to just love to hit people and rough them up for no reason.

The player I'm torn on is Shaw. I think I gave up on Bickell finally, though his 100 hits are still something. They just haven't been impressive hits and zero points and lots of folly I just can't support the project anymore. Shaw has earned his next contract this post season and worked through his slump.

Being a good GM isn't about easy choices. Easy choices are losing Bickell, and Sharp, Vermette. Or signing Saad. Easy.

The hard choices are whether to make a run at Richards. To retain Shaw and Kruger. Trading Crawford.

I think its those last 4 choices that determine our future. Teuvo replaces Sharp. Panarin adds a quality body to replace Bickell.

They need a quality defenseman and a big body up front. They have to get ride of Crawford in order to free up some seriious money cap wise. As I see it, the guys who need to go are:

Crawford
Sharp
#44 (can't spell his name)
Runblad
Richards

Note: I am probably the only guy on this board who would keep Bickell........Unless they find a better hitting more skilled forward. Plus a big center ice man.

Yes and no. The Lightning are highly skilled and are the closest thing we've faced to a version of ourselves, but they aren't as talented or as deep as us.

Look, the Hawks are getting their game shoved back in their face. Tampa has the ability to compete with us from a skill and speed perspective. This is a different animal we're facing compared to Philly, Boston, Anaheim who were big, bruising teams.

But this is all correctable if we play like we did in the first period last night. We absolutely smoked them for those 20 minutes because we played with speed, we had movement off the puck and we made quick decisions. We also out hustled and out worked them.

For some reason, we let off the gas in the remaining 40 minutes. The Hawks aren't going to just out-skill Tampa when they decide they want to step their game up. We have to open the ice up and extend our pressure. Counter their speed and skill using our speed and skill, which is better.

Its Crawford primarily in my opinion. Two of those goals should have been handled easily. The fact is that he is just an average NHL goal tender and they need better. I still think that he has a substance abuse problem.

Bro, slow your role. Tribar is one of the better posters here.

No need to troll and be rude to him.

The mods are actively trying to make the sports talk on this stoic website a little more serious. Not going to happen with trolls like you around.

Get a room you two!

I sincerely hope all the Toews hate is an inside joke. I always figured it had to be just your way of egging him on to greatness. We are so lucky to have a winner and competitor leading this team in the modern NFL, Q compliments him well. I think we are going to trounce these ******* bad tomorrow and swing some momentum back to us.

I don't hate Toews or anyone. I don't think anyone is as useless as some people here think they are. But, I do know what every single member of this roster is capable of on the ice--and when big-named guys like Toews, Kane, Hossa, Crawford, Seabrook, Sharp, et. al. come out and play with a level of HockeyIQ that makes Adam Burish look like Mario Lemeiux there's a problem.

It's not hate, it's dissapointment. I don't think he or anyone should be traded or benched, but Toews has been playing bad. He's been easy to knock off the puck and he, like Kane but slightly less so, can't hit the broadside of my ass with a pass from across a circle. We know they can play at a level higher than they have been, and at this point in the game there's no excuse for not leaving everything on the ice.

Time for he and Kane to prove they're really worth 10.5M AAV.

****. Corsi. Ratings.

Versteeg's Corsi rating was tops in game 1 - even higher than Keith's. Put Corsi to rest once and for all.

Hossa's game was fine yesterday. The guy barely hits the net with a goalie in, didn't expect him to do it without. It was one of the old man's better games of the year. Saad played well too. Anytime he's physically involved, he has success. Toews would be better if he was 1)off the PP and 2) didn't fall down once a shift.

I think that Hossa has had a very good play-off including this series. Too many of us focus everything on offense and look away from hits and defensive play. Hossa has been GREAT in holding onto the puck when he needs to and keeping the play alive. He might be the best guy that the Hawks have in this.
