To me it looks like Noah is ineffective because of Boozer.

I think to notice that he is really pissed by this guy defensively. 1st. because he doesn´t play D and 2. because he grabs the rebounds, which Jo already has in his hands.

Boozer is a stat whore and he is the only guy in this team to think that way! Not positive for the TEAM!

Agreed. Boozer tries to do Noahs job which frusturates Noahs Mindset of his role ...
This is what I said on this thread a few replies ago.
Noahs game has gone downhill since Carlos Loozers arrival.

I don't see that at all. Boozer isn't the one who can't grab a rebound with 2 hands, or is batting at rebounds like a kitten with a ball of string. Is he knocking those balls out of Noah's hand? Or pushing Noah out of the paint putting him in awful positions to rebound?

Noah is struggling because he's out of shape, feeling the pressure of his contract, & is not playing his normal style of play. It has nothing to do with Boozer messing up his "game". Noah doesn't have a game. It's just hustle & rebounding, which he's not doing either of.

I got flamed a couple months ago for this exact same discussion. I told you guys that Gar and Pax we're fucking idiots but nobody wanted to listen until the season started.

I've said countless times how fucking useless Noah is. Noah is just a one-dimensional energy hustle machine. He has ZERO offensive ability. He's weak on the offensive glass, he doesn't assert himself in the post.

The man is almost 7 feet tall and he gets pushed around on the court like he's Muggsy Bogues. He isn't even a good defender. We should have got rid of him when his stock was high.

Boozer on the other hand hasn't been nearly as bad as Noah this year. I was hard on Boozer after the shambles that was the ECF last year. He hasn't been horrible this year, but my god Taj Gibson is so much better. I don't care if Gibson never puts up the same numbers as Boozer, he's a much better defender (as in he can actually fucking defend). He's also strong attacking the rim and he is a team player.

Deng has stepped up big this season in my opinion. The man has been an absolute shut-down defender and he is actually hitting open jumpers this year which was my main criticism about him last year. Deng is definitely a dude that has proved me wrong this year but he is not the number 2 guy that the Bulls need.

My opinion? Somehow get rid of Noah and Boozer for a deal involving Howard. Throw in Asik and as many picks as Orlando actually wants. Who in the league can offer a better deal then that?

Or tank the season and draft Harrison Barnes (he is THAT good).

Howard doesn't want to be here..

Taj over Boozer should be PaxGars longterm plan anyway..Taj has heart and plays his best whether he sucks some nights or not....I'm all for Taj replacing boozer and I also have been saying this for qquite some time.......And Boozer the loozer is the one that doesn't attck the rim...he acts like he's scared to dunk and misses point blank range lay ups .I thought power forawrds were supposed to attack and protect the basket.....Noah may not be that talented, but ill take his hustle and defense over boozers useless talent..

Everyone keeps bringing up the same thing -- who's going to want either of them, considering how poorly they've played so far? I've never been through the roof on either Noah or Boozer, albeit I have tried to support them, despite both of their obvious shortcomings and unfriendly contracts.

That being said, I still think it's a bit too early in the season to try and dump them on somebody. I honestly felt like we should've amnestied Boozer the millisecond we had the chance to. Somebody like New Jersey would've jumped on him. Noah is a much more tradable asset, given his age and lighter cap number. I'm sure there are teams who'd be willing to trade for him, but with his stock being so low, we'd be selling him for 50 cents on the dollar.

The question is this though -- do you honestly think that whatever we'd get for either of these guys would improve our chances to win a title? Doubt it. Could it help us down the road? Probably. But this team is built to win now. We have the pieces in place to win a championship. Others may disagree with me, but you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who realistically thought that Dallas was the best team in the NBA last year, and look what happened. I still say we're 1B to Miami's 1A in the East. I genuinely think they're the only team that could beat us in a seven game series in our conference.

If a serviceable deal came up for either player that made sense to improve the team now, great, do it. If not, amnesty Boozer after this season and look to trade Noah for a little cap relief and a draft pick, and hope you can fill his void in free agency.

Well we do have all our pieces in place to win right now.
All we really got to do is sign Jr Smith and the pieces of this jigsaw puzzle will be complete.

Unless JR Smith wants to take over as GM, I don't want him anywhere near this team!

I find it funny how only a few people are really hating on Boozer and Noah. Boozer has actually had a pretty fine year so far.
for an average big man yes? for a big man with boozer's contract no

declining physical tools and bad defense

not to mention he's averaging the worst PPG and RPG since his rookie year

Also people need to realize their is no offenseive plays designed for him as there was in Utah. All they do is give it to him in the post when already guarded and hes forced to take a jumper which has been pretty good this year. There are no pick and rolls, and very few pick and pops.
or he could use his feet and make a post move or two....doesnt help that he can barely get off the ground

he does have a good rainbow shot though

Boozer in Utah was involved so much. But all you should want is a double double from him and he will be doing that for most of the year. Sitting him out for the 4th quarter will also kill his stats so i dont get the people who try and say his stats are shit when they really aren't.

sure boozer will be getting double doubles...but its not necessarily his offensive production thats the issue...its

A.his defense...still bad
B.he's aging..meaning his production will continue to decline
C.he's injury prone..which aggravates the issues of A and B
D.his contract

you have to realize that boozer also greatly benefited from having deron williams passing to him...who is probably the 2nd best passing PG in the league(imo) behind nash...

sitting boozer in the 4th quarter doesnt make boozer worse than he is..in fact he's only averaging 2 less minutes per game than last year...not really an excuse...

i agree with uman's original post..boozer sitting out in the 4th repeatedly speaks volume about his game and how the coach's see boozer along with how they see taj...

Noah has been more disappointing to me more than Booz.

yep..his stat line is pretty horrible

Noah has done a bit better lately, and I just wonder if Noah is hurting Boozer.
the good thing is he plays good interior D which is really what his value is..but he is grossly overpayed as well

noah and boozer hurt each other a bit...they take away from each other's rebounding and they clog the lane...plus boozer's slow rotation on defense makes noah have to compensate more

Boozer isn't a 20 and 10 guy very few PF's are hes more of a 18 and 10 guy which to me is fantastic (Taj wouldn't avg that btw).
boozer can get 18 and 10 periodically but i dont think he's a 20/10 or 18/10 guy anymore...according to his PER36 he may be...but thats inflated and you have to think about context..why is boozer getting less minutes?

taj plays better defense, more athletic, and younger...i dont think the bulls would put him as a starter though if they trade boozer..they'd likely try to get a younger starting PF..and gibson could come in as relief....whether or not boozer's offensive production is better than taj's is not the point of trading boozer though

Noah has looked better though and is giving more effort which is good. Him and Boozer finished out the 4th just recently and did fine. And Lucas running the point is atrocious to watch.

he's giving more effort..idk if he's looked necessarily better though..good game against boston...4 points against toronto and then two against memphis

ya the bulls are 12-3....but one of the main reasons for that is the dude who wears #1...the team didnt look so hot against memphis..is that because of the backups for rose? partly..or maybe its the fact that some of the pieces around rose are maybe not so complementary and rose really makes these dysfunctional pieces work together as well as leading the team to wins

that last line was a tad harsh..but you get my point

Sadly i don't think they are what we need to get past the heat.
They are fcking terrible this season (and the playoffs last season). Don't give me the "they haven't played long enough to establish a chemistry" crap because they really don't fit each other very well.

Well what I saw during the raptors game was Brewer getting a rebound but Boozer slapped it out of his hands and out of bounds! And Boozer does that all the time. It isn´t a TO every time but it hurts the chemistry! He doesn´t yell GIMME DAT without a reason even if a Bull wants to grab the rebound.

Taj & Asik go after the same boards routinely. Does that mean they are canceling out each other's talents? No. It's called crashing the boards. It's the reason why we are #1 in rebounding. Everyone on the team is going for the rebound. Sometimes that means 2 teammates go after the same ball. It happens. No teammate in their right mind would ever be angry with another teammate for securing a rebound, and I highly doubt Noah cares as long as we are getting the board.

And c'mon now, just because Booz yells "Gimme Dat Shit" doesn't mean he's actually yelling for the rebound. Los talks ALL the time on the court. That's just who he is. He's not trying to show anyone up out there. And if you hear what he's saying the majority of the time, he's communicating positions on plays, encouraging teammates to shoot when they are open, & calling out defensive calls. I got no problems with him talking out there & I don't think any of his teammates do either.
