It's a fair trade. Kane would hate it but life goes on. Plus we need Nash or a player like Nash right now.

Never gonna happen. As much as I love the thought of giving Bolland a good RW (not at the expense of Kane), just won't happen... all the Kane chatter is a bunch of crap.

On another note, not sure if anyone heard this but Roenick talked about the Hawks trading Kane and this was his two cents:

"Everybody knows I am a huge Patrick Kane fan, but when you're talking something of this nature, is Patrick Kane dealable? As much as I don't want to say it, they can afford to get rid of Patrick Kane," Roenick told ESPN 1000. "They can afford to - with the season he's having - maybe with his off-ice reputation, maybe with the skill they have on their team - it's doable.

"Do I like it? No, because I love Patrick Kane. He is one of the most talented and one of the best players in the NHL. But if you really want a top-end goaltender, you're going to have to give up somebody."

I just had to laugh at that with all the (false) Ryan Miller rumors circulating.

For a first time poster we normally welcome you to this board and look forward to educated discussion.

I am not so sure in this case..........

I am Kane fan so this breaks my heart however, as much as everyone here may not want to admit, teams have figured him out . We are looking at many more frustrating games for him. He needs this more than the Hawks do.

Every NHL player is "figured out" at some point. He's only 23, give him some time, he'll turn things around.

And the NHL hasn't "figured out" Nash? What a dumb idea. For shame. Kane has still some developing to do and has a ton of potential. Nash hasn't yet shown to be that franchise player CBJ hoped he would be. Kane has already outscored Nash's best point total at the ripe age of 23 not to mention having vastly more playoff experience.

I'm pretty sure Kane and Toews have some type of NMC in their contract. Columbus would not be on my go to list. ROTFL!

This should be in the trade thread, as it's been discussed ad nauseum.

Point well taken. What would Nash be like if he had the right players around him?

Please enlighten me.

Assuming only for the sake of discussion it's even possible for the Hawks to invalidate Kane's NTC in order to trade him for Nash...exactly which of Kane's alleged needs would be satisfied by trading him not only within the same conference but within the very same division where he would continue to play with the same frequency against the same teams that "have figured him out"?

edit: grammar

See how dumb that suggestion is yet? If not turn on the game they are both playing in. Check out the pass from Kane to Sharp. Then find me one of the same from Nash.
