Even if the Hawks offered Kane for Nash (which they didn't), it's literally impossible since Nash would never waive his NTC to come to Chicago.

See how dumb that suggestion is yet? If not turn on the game they are both playing in. Check out the pass from Kane to Sharp. Then find me one of the same from Nash.

Kane is one of the top 5 passers in the league. Maybe centers Sedin, Thornton, Datsyuk and Malkin? I can't think of many wingers better than him with Malkin being the only one close to Kane's age.

Claude Giroux is pretty good as a set up right winger and young. I think you have to start adding him to the list now also. But totally agree Kane can certainly be in the discussion as a top five passer in the league.

St Louis has had a strong career out of great passing abilities also (and he started off a little slow in his first few years in the league then exploded). May be slowing down a tad bit but his name would come up in debates also (debateable).

Those are the only 2 other wingers I would put on the list.

May throw Spezza in there as a center. Another guy that has always been able to pass a puck around.

And at 23 his game should only improve. The potential of something already extremely good, is encouraging. My relationship with them aside it would take a lot for me to trade Kaner. Just as it would ANY of the core here.

Nor would it be smart for Columbus to see Nash traded to a division rival. I seriously doubt that would happen.

I am Kane fan so this breaks my heart however, as much as everyone here may not want to admit, teams have figured him out . We are looking at many more frustrating games for him. He needs this more than the Hawks do.

Kaner has been playing through some sort of injury. He was flying high and suddenly became hobbled and has steadily been getting closer to his normal level of play for some time now. He did this also the year of the Winter Classic...Cleary ran him in Detroit and the kid played through a sprained ankle. He plays though pain and I have to respect that. As far as his off ice stuff...hell he's a KID with multiple millions of dollars in the greatest city on earth. I have no problem with Kane.

With the offense clicking again I'd be satisfied with a veteran 4-6 d-man, somebody physical, stay at home, shot blocker ect...

Jackass rumors about the Hawks being interested in Brett Clark, Johnny Oduya, or Shane O'Brien. Jackass also thinks we have interest in Brassard, Nash and Dorsett. Also something about McNeill for Schenn. Broken clock.....

Oduya or Clark would be decent pick up for the right price.

Hope not souray. That guy has zero defensive game...all offensive minded and fragile. I would rather not see it. But since this is the season of deals i don't like it will probably happen.

Souray is a no name brand band aid like Morrison. Don't want it myself.

Im actually starting to think the hawks won't make any moves. Just not seeing the availability of anyone who truly helps the club. Mine swell hold on to those draft picks. Im one of the very few who does think Roy could help just wish he was a bit bigger and more physical and a better 2 way guy. But for a second line center option for the remainder of this season and next I think the team could do worse without overpaying or jeopardizing future centers in the system (ie McNeil). I also dont think the Sabres would be asking for too much that is unreasonable. but who knows.

Khabi out two weeks with a pulled groin. Guess that will stop those rumors now.
