He just missed his 2nd attempt as well but this was 50+ at 54 yards. 0 for 2 and a 5th round pick.

And i thought we had kicker issues....okay so we do have kicker issues but at least we aren't the only ones with kicker issues.

They drafted D.Carlson in the 5th round of the 2018 draft and he sucked for them so they cut him and the Raiders picked him up and he was great for the Raiders and is now their starting kicker. Minn signed Dan Bailey to replace him and he was alright for them last year and he's been great ever since they traded for Vedvik who missed both of his field goal tries today, one was a 54 yarder though so even though i usually don't get down on kickers for missing 50+ yarders his whole thing is his strong leg.

Maybe they should sign Cody Parkey.

I'm sorry Blair Walsh missed a 13 yard fg for the Vikings in order to advance in the playoffs. A 13 freaking yarder. He shanked it. I remember and laughed at my Viking friend. Thats worse than a 43 yard double doing miss.

Carlson was playing with an injured leg. I watched him kick in Auburn his senior year and he was money that season. I think they cut him too soon

It’s almost like career 62 percent field goal kickers don’t become automatic just by having a good preseason game or two.
