Justin fields has to play early and should be starting week 1. He gives the team the best chance to win. All the other guys deserve to have the best players on the field around them. They all have a shelf life and they are out there to win.
This team is legit going to start 0-3 before they play the Lions. Might be 0-4 after that.

I seriously do not get the love affair with Borom. Guy has proven nothing. Played next to nothing. I’m not saying he can’t be good…. But all this love seems based on a few tweets two weeks ago.
To be fair I liked him before training camp ever started and pretty early in the summer said it was probably a dumb statement but I thought he'd be better than Jenkins

Why though? Did you watch him in college? Was there some highlights you saw? I get people being excited about Jenkins because everyone watched those highlight videos. I get Fields because we all saw him play in college a bunch. Other than a few tweets about Borom where is this coming from?

I've always liked him but him starting would mean he's good enough to beat out Peters and that would be a best case scenario for the Bear.

Probably has something to do with the fact that he played LT in the SEC and didn't allow a single QB pressure his entire Senior season.

Basically the fact he performed very well against the best competition in the sec. And also watching a little video, but im definitely no expert there. I think his playing weight hurt his reputation but he was extremely successful at that weight and just got more mobile dropping 40 lbs. He's a mountain of a man and if he can get a little stronger I actually think he can become a long term solution at T

Also Jenkins tape really didn't impress me. People loved the play where he drove the guy into the sideline, but I didn't think he looked dominant in pass protection and it was against mediocre competition

Same here. I never jumped on that train. I liked him, don't get me wrong, but not enough and nowhere near as much as some people here.

For better or worse, I liked Cosmi.

Same. The weight drop was something that popped out for me. He's still huge and isn't being asked to play that heavy in the NFL, despite the bears wanting to be beefier on the line, all that spells some intriguing extra upside for me imo. Intrigue is literally all we have going for us at T so ima be a Borom stan now that Jenkins has passed RIP

Borom's college tape was solid against SEC competition. I watched everything that was available.

He had nimble feet and gave ground in college before walling off the pocket, but this week in early snaps I saw him get pushed too far back into the pocket. He'll surely need work but he didn't look lost.

Ideally, I'd like Peters to hold down the position and give Borom some time to develop. It's a good situation for the rookie to have such an accomplished vet in the room with him. Not sure what Peters has left but I don't think Charles Leno is too high of a bar to climb if he can stay on the field.
